Creating a bra for men.

Hello,
I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place but my team and I are considering developing a bra for men. Is this something you guys would be interested in? And if so, what are some things that are a must have? Our current sketch has some unique features not present in any bra at this point.

Many of us do wear a bra to support our breast, but it will require bras that are as different from one another just as woman's bras are! I'm a 46H as someone else will be much smaller and shoulder straps are a big problem, at least for me, most are to short.
The breast on a man are wider then on a woman too, so that makes fitting hard too.
The shoulder straps also slide of our sloping shouldest so the racer style may also work better for that reason.

Thanks hammer, I was researching and have come across the difference in men vs women's breast shape also and your post augments this notion. Ours would be entirely for men and not women's. 

Since we are a small group we're not trying to make an assortment rather one that can be worn say at the office/work or such. 

Aesthetically speaking, due to the difference in breast shape, does something that leans more towards a chest plate design be appealing? I suspect it would be more appropriate for wear also.

I will concure with Hammer about the racerback design.  I would also like to add that for me I would prefer no rear fastenings at all, ie a smooth back with even the strap adjusters at the front.
I don't know what you mean by a plate front but support without enhancement and without the breasts being crushed either would be ideal.  And as Hammer says, the range of breast shapes and fitting will probably be as great as you would get in females too.  I, for instance, have breasts much more like a female than some with a size of 38DD.

If you look at my post, "I'm bigger then I thought" in acceptance, there is a picture of myself in a new bra. It does enhance my breast, but being as big as I am, I can't hide them anyway. I would like that in a no frills, racer back, front Closer with a wider front.

hi guys my 2cents worth here , racer back or Tshirt style with more support for side boobs like some of us have , my breasts have a female shape and are teardrop shaped , as well as I am a 48 band and a B cup my tape measurements are 48" underbreast and 54" across the nipples.i wear sports bras with cups almost exclusively.a good quality manbra would most likely be a good seller.

Yep, that's the racer back, but as Walt said good side support and for guys like me I still need good front support and wide straps would be a nice option too.

I already am paying  $60.00 for my bras so quality is important too.

Thank you for considering the needs of men who want/need to wear a bra to support their breasts.
I tried to post this before my "one other thing" post, but something happened.
I measure 46B.  I echo the other comments, although I have never worn a racer back bra.  Here are the things that are important to me: encapsulation cups instead of flattening or minimizing, front close and front strap adjusters (I can't reach behind me without pain), cups that are perfectly smooth (my leisure bras have stitching up the center of the bottom half of each cup that shows under Tshirts and can give the appearance of a second pair of nipples), stretchy cups to accommodate one breast being slightly smaller than the other, wide set cups (I have a good 2-3 fingers of space between my breasts - no chance of cleavage for me ), side support to keep the breast tissue/fat under my arms from bulging, fabric that won't make me sweat, padding under the front closures so they won't irritate my skin, a wide bottom band so it won't roll up due to my high tummy, enough arm hole room that the top of the bra will not chafe my underarm, and colors/patterns/textures that won't show through shirts.

I think something along a racer back sports bra, reduce bounce, and maybe give the uni- boob appearance that women try to avoid, it seem. Making it more chest than breast appearance. I understand that at some point volume, does not make concealment a major concern.  There would be a need for assortment in style and end results. If you trying to one size fits all concerns, I don't see that helping as many as you could.

This is no easy task, as we differ just as the ladies do, but the big problem with woman's bras I find is the cups are not wide enough apart and shoulder straps to short.

You might try a Champion Compression sports bra, I have been using them for several years. If it is very hot then you my sweat more than usual so you may want to look at "mesh" styles,

Unfortunately the only way to find what works for you is to buy and try a number of different styles.

The price point would be affordable yet have high quality. 
The fitting sizing is an interesting thing that keeps coming up. We'll look into making the sizing needs more efficient.
What materials are your favorite?
As for concealment, that is a key issue for us. Maybe you guys could give some insight though? Is this a big deal for you guys?
