What is the oldest known bra?

the Lengberg Bra

One of the most famous historical garments ever - the Lengberg Bra! This is the world's oldest known bra, dating from the late 15th century. It generated much interest in reenactor circles and the general public when it was excavated in Lengberg Castle, Austria, in 2008.

Shattered my illusions I thought they were worn in ancient Eygyt.
I would have had a hefty bet that Cleopatra wore one in the Hollywood film!

Apparently ancient Greece used to wear a type of compression garment that was basically a cloth tied around the chest with the knot in the back. Not really a 'bra' so to speak.

Anyone that claims 'a 'bra' is a woman's garment since biblical times' simply doesn't know the history of the garment. 😉

I am sure at least some that suffered from gyno back in ancient times would also 'tie the girls down' if they had significant size. 🤔

:D I just saw the title and thought someone looked in my wife's bra drawer.  I think she still has some from high school!  She keeps everything,  but I'm not complaining  after all she keep  me around.
That would have been my wife too. 🤔
