This short video on the website tells you how to tell if your bra is fitting proper (without having to go into a boutique for those too shy to do so).

For those of us that finding the proper fit at most outlets (most stop at DDD), this site also has the larger cup sizes.

This company also has 'virtual' fitters

I had my live chat with bravissimo and believes I am in the wrong bra?

I think she is a bit off because dropping 2 sizes in the band would increase my cup size by two, plus the Torrid bras are generous in the cups. That should make me a G or more like an H in her bras.

I'll forgive her math error....

"Hey Birdie,

Here are some recommendations for bras to try.

If the 42 feels a little bit small you can always try some of our bra extenders which I will link below.

Don't hesitate to get back in contact with us if you have any more questions.

Best wishes,

Mathilda"

Great info, Birdie, and how awesome to get personal replies! Although those bras are a little out of my league, I can see why they are recommended!

Just be careful with sister sizing. It's not always as simple as down one band size/up one cup size. Some charts I have seen over the years shows that there might be 1.5 cup size difference per 1 band size difference. For example, if I went down a band size (happily, I'm actually on the verge of that 🙂), going up a cup size would be just plain silly.

Ive always found Torrid bras to be very generous with their cup sizes. I typically wear UK bras and go primarily with UK sizing. I like the fact that most UK bra makers create bras with a broad underwire that  is very comfortable because of my wide rooted, narrow set breasts.

Torrid makes a terrific bra that also fits very well because they also use a broad underwire with there bras. I usually wear a 36H in most US bras but with Torrid, I can easily fit a 36G AND I even have a 36DDD that fits quite well.

My breasts are both wide rooted and set, so the Torrid bras were perfect for me. I really got quite a good fit. Also, as seen in the image below, Torrid bras stop at DDD's. The sales lady actually advised me to increase my band size, and that was completely wrong as the last thing I need is a bra that fits too loose.

I will however try a bra from bravissimo just out of curiosity. I'll order one next month.
I have to agree that the slight bulge I'm getting over my bra on the left side is telltale of the cup being a bit small. It's time to graduate out of DDD's.

It's unfortunate however that they don't have my band size. 🤔, but an extender and sister sizing will do the task.

I do really love their bras they recommended!! 😘😘😘😘

This Torrid bra is in my rotation. I have it in white in a 36G. My wife hates it when I wear it with a white button down blouse because it shows the outline of the bra. I find it affirming for myself.

That's a nice bra, and a G!

I think the sales girl didn't know some of their bras do come in the larger cups.

Well, like most places, Torrid doesn't typically keep my size in stock. However Torrid will order it for me and have it shipped to the store. If it fits and I like the bra, I'll pay for it only then. If it doesn't work for me, they either keep it or send it back.

What a beautiful bra!

Thank you ♥️! Its very comfortable and provides great support and a nice rounded and not too projected shape.

Also, for those of you who would prefer not to advertise the fact that you are wearing a bra, notice that the strap adjusters are located on the front which provides you with a smoother back, for a more descrete appearance.

I prefer adjusters at the front for that reason, although I am beginning to care less now. The other reason that having them at the front is good, is because you can easily adjust them on the fly.

One thing I have noticed though is that it is pretty rare for an underwire bra to have them at the front. it is much more common for wirefree bras to have then at the front.

I have found once the straps are properly adjusted, there's little reason to mess with them until they stretch out. A properly adjusted strap feels wonderful. There's not excess stress on the shoulders and the straps stay in place and lay flat fairly hidden. A strap line messes up a smooth top line that women really hate so they get it too even though their reasoning for hidden straps are a little different than our reasoning.

Getting the straps 'just right' is absolutely a must for comfort and appearance.

I adjust mine as soon as I get home with a new bra, and seldom need to touch them again.

Nothing worse than 'digging' or 'sliding down' straps. 😉
