Question A or B cups out there that wear a bra

Why? It's more comfortable for me, and I'm far less self-conscious with one than without. I guess that comes from a little bit of support and stability. When I try without for a day then I'm tense and always noticing them.
What type? Generally unwired soft-cup. I got a proper fitting once I decided to give it a go and so far haven't had to live with a bra that's uncomfortable. I've recently tried one with an underwire and an unpadded, moulded cup and been really surprised at how light and easy it is. I've got a sports bra but that's just for running.

That's me exactly. I didn't realize just how uncomfortable and self-conscious I was until I started wearing a bra. A bra as made life better for me.

I have a couple of soft cup bras, but I just feel more comfortable and confident in an underwire bra. More support and containment and less fabric. I see why women like molded cup underwire bras. The support and comfort is unparalleled.

Picked up an underwired lightly lined T-shirt bra yesterday. By far the most supportive and comfortable (the unwired ones seem to exert so much force by comparison) and could see it becoming a favourite. Interestingly one cup size smaller than the unwired ones I have. But I do worry a bit that it makes them look larger.

Underwire bras do give a shape through better support with less bulk than soft cup bras. Since there are no wires to support with soft cups, they have to make up for that support with more material and compression. Padding will also add volume because the cup material is thicker. I do wear underwire all the time, but usually keep to either molded cups or unlined cups and stay away from padded bras, but I do own two lightly padded bras so never say never! It all depends on how you feel and look.

For everyday bras, I wear underwires for the same reasons already stated.  I like the shape and support that I get from the underwire, molded cups. I'm a 36G/ H so I like getting the maximum control to reduce the jiggle that happens from even just walking. I usually sacrifice the extra control during the summer months with wearing lace cup bras. I do this because it reduces ugly boob sweat.

I agree with ABWG.  An underwire bra gives you a better shape and support.  I also like padded pushup bras because because I have very little breast under the nipple on the right side and only a little more on the left. These bras give me more up left plus a mall increase in size.  Being a B cup the protrution is barely noticeable.

Having found a really comfortable "lightly lined" underwire I was worried that it might make mine bigger. I measured this morning braless and with a couple of others and there was barely a 1/4 inch difference between them. I shall happily follow what's comfortable!

I have come to the conclusion that I would rather be comfortable first and I can deal with the appearance second because if I am comfortable, I am more confident and that translates into people not noticing. Win. Win.

I have to confess that I'm still a bit in the should I / shouldn't I stage. Every now and again I have a go at a day / morning / afternoon without one and when I do I find that I spend a lot of the day thinking about them, putting my hand into my shirt to see what they are like, going and having a look at them in the mirror. Otherwise I find when I put on a bra when I get dressed I more or less forget about them for the rest of the day.
Does this sound familiar to anyone else? And does that seem to say, yeah it probably means that I am more comfortable with one on?

Well, I'm more in the "have to wear a bra club", but, I do know what you mean. I always wear when I'm out of the house but, sometimes around the house, I'll let the girls breathe. I find that I will cross my arms, slouch, if I'm going up and down stairs,  I'll end up holding them with my hand and arms.

I'm 38G so they are always present but I can forget about them as long as I'm wearing a good bra.

NEWAT50, I think that you are still in the "getting use to these strange new things" stage. In time that will change,  as you look down now I'm sure you think "wow, where did these come from"? Every now and then, that too will one day pass, in a few years that is, lol!

I'm with ABWG'S,  here. I have gotten to the point that if I don't have a bra on and I'm going to be going out, I will be putting one on!  When you get to be a larger cup size, wearing a bra actually makes you less noticeable then not wearing one because it holds you still and it feel more comfortable as well.

I have gotten to the point when I am braless I am much more aware of what the girls are doing. I feel every movement of them and when I am wearing a bra, I hardly notice them at all. I am not quite as endowed as ABWG or hammer, but at 36DDD/38DD I can't pass as flat chested. The proper style and good fitting bra puts my mind to ease about what is going on under my shirt.

Hammer is right. There are definite phases you go through, from getting used to having the pressure around your rig cage and thinking does everyone see my bra to being freaked out to be in public when not wearing a bra. It takes time to go through the different stages, but for me, my physical comfort has become important to me and I am just physically more comfort when when supported and contained. The movement of the breast tissue when not supported is not comfortable to me. The chafing the movement causes can be painful at times. Things like that has certainly shaped my psyche on wearing a bra.

Sounds like the benefits a bra can bring you is something you should seriously consider. Support can be very comforting.
