MRI of my liver today (long story), so the requirements are no metal  jewelry, hooks, clasps, buttons, ect...

So, I'm wearing a lightly padded pullover sports bra,  tee. And sweat pants.

I usually wear underwires, so seeing the boobs smashed flat against my chest feels weird.

I bought this pullover sport's bra specifically for these scans and x-rays.

Good points.  Even if the metal is non ferrus, the magnetic waves can heat the metal up.

I have had both recently, and can tell you that 1: I hope they are not hitting you with contrast.  I hate that stuff.
2: for the uninitiated, MRI's are a scan that is IMO boring, but also annoying due to the metal.

Multiple times I have been in the MRI tube. The tube volume is so small compared to my volume that after a few minutes the oxygen level drops to very sour levels. I begin to experience air hunger and it sends me down a frightening path towards a  slow suffocating nightmare . The techs many times don’t listen that O2 needs to be flowed in, and don’t. Won’t get into one again unless it’s an open variety.
I do have SS & titanium surgical clips in place in my abdomen but I feel no heating effects in the scan.
I find this interesting as when I was in practice those patients I sedated and accompanied into the chamber that had the colorful tattoos complained of burning at the site. The red & green inks used for the coloration of the tattoo have iron & copper oxides in them. Even the ones with medication patches would also remark on the warming at the patch site. They many times have zinc in some of the formulations.

Tax, I too get spooked by the
Gadolinium contrast. I chelate the stuff out for a few weeks after with a concentrated cilantro oil known to work. I probably will need another one before I hit 80 but I will find a center that has an open tube.
Regards, Bob

MRI almost didn't happen.  They started it then quickly pulled me out and said it couldn't be done because of two metal clips in my stomach.  That was news to me, as I had no idea.
Reading my medical reports the tech noticed that I had a stomach biopsy and the doctor placed two clips to stop the bleeding.  The clips were of a type that could be scanned in an MRI,  so back in the tube I went.
MRI was with contrast, so fun fun fun!
Results will take about a week for my doctor to receive them.

Hoping the results come back healthy. Nobody need bad news when it comes to our liver.
 Be well, be safe.
