You were contemplating moving to Oregon Birdie... is that still on the horizon?
I make too much money per month for Oregon medicaid.  I with my health I can't afford not to be on medicaid.

Looking like Texas and California are my only two options.  I already tried California and the cost of living got me.

I’m new here.

I was diagnosed last fall. My doctor told me my insurance would not cover removal. Then she said I have a lot of breast tissue so a compression vest would probably be very uncomfortable. Then she said my best option since I don’t want hormone therapy would be to start wearing a bra everyday like a girl.

She said I could start with a sports bra after work and on the weekends to get comfortable with wearing a bra but she said I am likely a 44D or 46C so a properly fitted underwire t-shirt bra would be perfect for me for daily use. She said with the amount of breast tissue I have I definitely need the structure and support of an underwire bra even though it would likely cause my boobs to protrude more and despite the fact that the bra would shape my boobs like a woman’s boobs.

I am still trying to comprehend this. I have looked online at bras several times. I have watched dozens of bra fitting and bra 101 videos on YouTube. I have even gone to Lane Bryant as my doctor recommended and a nice sales associate actually did a bra fitting on me and she confirmed I am a 44D bra size. She actually helped me put on a bra and let me try on 4-5 different bras.

I was shocked when I actually filled up the cups and the bras fit me perfectly. When I looked at my boobs in the mirror I thought I was looking at a girl with her shirt off. I put my shirt on over the bra and I definitely looked like a woman with nice boobs. It was too much. I was in such disbelief that I couldn’t go through with buying any.

Since then I have gone back a few times to try them on again. I also went to Torid and JCPenney to try on some bras I saw online. I still can’t believe I actually fit a bra.

At this point I don’t have any bras yet even though it’s been 5-6 months and I have gone bra shopping 2-3 times. I do like how several of the bras fit me and I love how I feel when I am wearing one but I just am having a hard time getting used to the fact that I am a guy who needs to wear a bra everyday like a a girl. But I’m getting there. The last time I tried on bras I nearly broke down and bought 2 but I chickened out on my way to the register
