It’s a year since I first joined this forum.  A big thank you to everyone who guided me through getting my first bras, especially the recommendation to go get fitted. it took 3 places to find a boutique that had the ability to fit my smaller breasts, and each place was more fun than the previous one.

A year of ups and downs, one moment thinking my breasts we’re growing, then not growing, being glad they weren’t getting larger and then being jealous of others with larger breasts that filled their huge bra cups.

I think I’ve settled down to feeling that my breasts are what they are.  I’ve purged most of the earlier bras and have a great rotation of various bras from the boutique that do everything from minimizing me to those that make the most of what i have.  It just depends on either the day of the week or my mood as to what I’ll wear.

After this year I’d say they’re just a touch bigger.  Attached are two pictures, one from a year ago and the other now, both in the same bra.

On a totally different part of my body, I had a new “exciting experience” this past year as I now feel my butt wiggling when i walked.  Never felt that wiggle when I was 50 or 30 pounds heavier.  Nope it had to wait until i got below 200 pounds.  Go figure.

Also realized that my attitude about clothing has changed over the past 12 months.  Never really that interested in style, just functional clothing.   But now the style on the other side of the aisle seems to be very interesting.  Now, although i haven’t spent much money on the other side yet maybe that will change in the future.

So thanks again to this group, very grateful.

Yep… I’d say they are bigger now for sure

Good to hear about your positive experiences this past year. That bra is clearly doing its job and yes I think that there has been some growth.  As you are getting bigger it may be time to consider an underwired bra now if you haven't already?  These will provide you with more support and containment.  When properly fitted they are very comfortable too.  An underwire will help keep breast tissue in the cup where it belongs so it can be properly supported and further reduce the annoying breast movement we suffer when braless.

I  not sure about size but they have filled out nicely. More feminine in appearance. Rounder and more projection and needing support and containment for comfort. It's obvious in the second picture that the bra is doing what it was designed to do.

Glad to hear you are reaching an equilibrium on your chest. That's most of the battle. As for you being jealous, nothing to be jealous of. You have a respectable chest there. You fit right in.

Thanks for the update.  For all of us this is a journey, both our relationship with our bodies and our relationship with wearing a brassiere.  I'm now wearing a bralette when I sleep which, much like the brassiere you show us has no wire shaping my breasts.  Though a bit larger, they look much like yours when I'm wearing that piece.  It is when I wear an underwire brassiere without padding that my breasts take the shape that pleases me most.  I'm now wearing one or another of those brassieres every day.  I really like both the look and the feel.

But the part of your post that I most want to address is the fundamental change in the shape of my body.  I weigh much less than I did at my highest weight but I've become much rounder in the middle, butt and thighs.  This has been happening over the last five or six years as my breasts have gotten larger.  We often talk about how diminished testosterone allows estrogen to have its way with our bodies... feminizing us.  Skin is soften, hair is diminishing, mood becomes more calm, penis shrinks and body becomes rounder with fat moving.  I've always had a soft body so the changes are perhaps more pronounced for me than they would for a more lean, muscular body.  Those men probably won't find themselves on this website.  But who we are is simply who we are.  Nothing is to be gained by denying that.  I won't be battling Mother Nature since I know it is a losing proposition.

Glad you're finding acceptance with who you are and enjoying the journey.  I know shopping for brassieres is always a source of pleasure for me, even though I no longer need to buy more.  But perhaps I will.  Who knows?

As I told my sales associate at my boutique, I didn’t know buying bras would be so addictive!  I think I’ll go get another underwire one.

Yup!

Then like me I doom scroll Amazon for bras. (Only because they work for me.).
