Keep up your spirits and look to the positive and good on your part to push for follow-up.

I haven't read much on CHEK-1 but I remember reading a couple reports for men with BRCA and the incidence is less than half as for women overall.  I have concerns too as BC runs on my maternal side (I haven't had any genetic testing) and I am a 38-40D/DD.  In general, men with gynecomastia still have a significantly lower rate of BC than women.  I would push for regular mammograms (it is tough to get one as a guy, it took me years to get sent for the first one).  Confirmed gyno and your potential risks and history should help, as well as any changes or growth.

Best wishes and thanks for continuing to share!

Had 2 mammograms already
Third one is in October and Nov is colonoscopy

Labs tomorrow in AM to check on CA.  markers  and E and prolactin levels .
Looking to see if pituitary tumor remains at bay from the chemo

Hope all had a good holiday with family and friends, I did and made 3 pints of pesto from the garden.
Regards, Bob

Sorry to hear that Birdie... feels like "insult to injury" given the fact you were denied the freedom to be yourself and enjoy your womanhood for most of your life.  I know you have a few health challenges.  I hope this vulnerability doesn't complicate your life even more.  It is time to simply "enjoy being a girl."

Birdie,
Hope all remains well with you.

I’ve come to the conclusion we are not here for a long time, so we must be here for a good time. Life’s short, eat dessert first!

For me I had the itchy nips and the ache during my initial growth... why I initially went in years ago. I don't even think I qualified as having true gynecomastia at the time. Just I felt off and that there was something wrong. Due to maternal history with BC they sent me in for a mam anyway. The official report showed pseudo gyne.. in two years time I was a B-Cup and mam show bilateral gyne.. Had 3rd mam this spring and now sporting D's.. thanks for nothing medical system.

Not that I expected them to do anything I guess my overall concern now is that whatever is causing this is not going to kill me.

I don't think I am done yet... my body seems to cycle in the fall-winter I feel the chest tightness and signs that more development will be coming. I stated it before but night times are especially bad for soreness etc. dunno how many times I woken up with pressure and aches emanating from my breasts.

Luckily I work from home... so I have thay comfort.. I also have a supportive wife. She's been soo helpful in her acceptance of my growth. I'd be pretty miserable if I didn't have her with me.

Also helps I live were its cooler 3/4 of the year so extra layers help conceal what I have going on.

They you mean docs? No medically speaking it's an anomaly. Something caused one thing so spike that lead to a chain reaction and this is me. I can't say for sure but I am guessing other distribution points may have also been affected.  It's a hormone tornado that endocrinologists only solution was to fillet me.

Thank you for all your feedback. I've come to the conclusion that we can't be sure of anything. I've just had another analysis and boom, oestrogen has risen by 60% in 6 months. The endocrinologist doesn't seem worried but I'm still at 47 pg/mL, higher than some women. On the other hand, I almost have the impression that he can't wait for things to get worse before putting me on treatment.

Are any of you on testosterone? Because when it comes to practicality, I think we can do better. It looks like a real pain. And those who aren't, what are the usual health problems? We often see problems linked to being overweight, but I'm not overweight.

Fortunately, there's no gynaecomastia on the horizon at the moment.

My hormones were very low for t and high for e and more on the female end for areas that seemed green and good like shbg and such. I was put on an aroma taste inhibitor and it had horrible side effects quite quickly and immediately discontinued it as an option to boost my T

What helped me was taking Ashwaghanda and zinc and stinging nettle. My levels have continued to increase and get better without use of prescribed T. My NP was super quick to prescribe T without looking at other issues and why I chose to go the natural route.

It took a long time to get any doc to even test the T level let alone examine the gynecomastia .
It was an NP that took the complaints seriously and was surprised at the gyne. Gave me BSE instruction and ordered the mammogram.
The state of health care is ‘ deplorable ‘ these days due to gov’t interference.
Please stay diligent and curious as to why you are traveling this path. I have had some of the same difficulties and found myself reading a lot beyond medical literature and am using a few nutritional supplements to effect some needed changes. For example, P5P to reduce prolactin levels. Gave up on influencing T levels after the orchiectomy . Each of our cases are different but I applaud your efforts to improve your health, Bendo and DwB. I would like to get my E up to that level to keep from osteoporosis but the patches we are using at low level but the docs nervous about cardiovascular events. Old study has been debunked for several reasons. Finally got them to address this situation but it seemed like the wanted a broken bone before becoming active. I had to be insistent. I am really trying avoid bisphospphates and it’s associated problems.

Fortunately, many things are taken care of here in France. No charge for blood tests. Surgery (even if I don't want to, given my previous complications during surgery) covered.

Edit: thanks for zinc tip. It is not the first time I see it.
My purpose is to prevent gynecomastia to come back without taking testosterone.

I really fear my aromatase has started rising and increasing my testosterone by doing more sports is a bit frightening.
