I vary between DD and D depending upon weight.  At my lower weight despite being smaller, they sure stick out past my stomach a lot farther.  As was pointed out having a very large chest behind them affects relative size looks.  However, I have no pain, no discomfort at all from my breasts and am a nudist whenever possible.  I'm certainly not going to wear a bra anymore than I wear any other clothing when I don't have to.  I'm hoping to spend 3 clothing free months this year.  That is freedom.

It is good to hear that your not going to cross dress, as this would be the wrong forum for you to be posting on then! We are not in to that!

We also just wear the bra to support our over grown breast! Nothing more, nothing less!

I am the same size as Alchemist and agree with his comments. As I have said before I get fitted properly  and wear a bra for support, comfort and also unless I do my back hurts from the pressure.No other reasons other than those.  Del

If the bra fits...wear it! I wear a 38 to support my girls. I don't wear sports bras on a regular basis. I usually wear a traditional underwire t-shirt style bra. I find this to be the most comfortable, most supportive, and least visible bra style. The 38 Breasts are visible not matter what you wear so you might as well be comfortable.

That is so funny.  My wife feels the same way and tells me "go put on a bra. Our company will be hear any minute!". Almost religiously I will put on my bra when I get out of bed. So it's usually a mute point.  But I was feeling very self conscious about going for a mammogram. So I thought I would go braless. I wear a 38E  and being 5'10" and 180lbs, the girls will noticeably run wild if left unattended. I guess I didn't want anyone else to see me in a bra. Well my wife convinced me to wear one and I'm glad she did. The tech who was performing the mammogram was so sweet.  She complemented me on my bra and the fact that I was taking such good care of my breasts.

Hi folks , the wife doesn`t mind me wearing the bra I usually wear either Tshirt /sports or small cup seamless pull overs and too bed its usually a yoga top.i am wishing she would go with me for a real fitting and a more supportive bra im not overly large but bouncy especially when I drive and it gets painfull.

Walt, I hope that she goes with you as well. If you both Have breasts then you should both wear a bra to support them. Therefore you should both go for a professional fitting.  My wife actually does not like me going braless. I wear a 38E in most brands so you can imagine the distraction or attention to my chest when the girls Are loose. Last time we went for a fitting, I ended up being fitted with a 38E and she had a 36DD. She was not happy in a jealous sort of way.

My wife prefers that I wear one too! If I don't they look just as big if not bigger and swing and bounce all around and are more noticeable then they are with the bra.

I'm much bigger then Debbie and she could care less! She isn't into that body image BS.

Interesting thread, about what our wife's tell us about wearing bras. 
My wife would rather not wear her bra, and at 38C could pull this off when younger, but as we age, well you know the story. 
Since my doc told me that i have to "take care" of my breasts  to avoid problems,my wife understgands and goea along with this idea, but wonders why I would "want" to wear a bra 
My response has always been, why do you want to wear a bra.  She just says she has more than I do and is expected to??  It seems like she really hasn't accepted this is for her comfort, but rather is something she is "expected" to wear

So when I respond, that maybe I really do need the support, and it feels better when I do wear it, she just says, If you feel better, I understand!   I really believe that she wishes she does not have to wear a bra and wonders why I don't feel the same?
As I have always said, I have worn support garments because I was told I need to, for so long now (hose) that I don't feel right without, and just accept these as necessary for my well being, maybe the bra acceptance has come to this stage as well?

My wife is a 40DD and I am a 40C, so I can't wear hers, but I realized how large I was when she was squeezing her DD's into a 40C and I tried on her 40C and it fit me better than it fit her.  I realized uh oh, I have breasts.....

I am approaching a 38D now, but my 40C is on the inner clasp nowdays.  My Olga 38D Minimizer is a nice fit now.

Sounds like how I look at it, it is a functional garment.  Not wearing for some thrill or fetish, just need something to support me....

It is really something you have to "wrap" your head around. We are always pushed toward "the macho" and guys do not wear that sort of thing. What a bunch of...whatever!. For years I paid no attention to the "guests" and just went about my business regardless of the bouncing, tenderness, occasional pain, itching, etc. Till I was sitting on the edge of the bed when getting ready for work and finally noticed I had boobs. I thought it is just fat, but no, I got em, and what to do about them? Sports bras with lots of compression so no one will notice. Mine are a 44a, so no one will notice. The point of all of this is: support yourself! No one but you is responsible for your "assets" so make yourself comfortable and take care of them. I am still getting used to them and they are definately growing. Life is still good, and that's the story I am sticking to!

If they're still growing I hope that they stop before you spend a ton of money on support you out grow faster then you wear out! That's what I did, but I hope that's all over now Lord knows 46H is big enough!

like hammer I hope they stop growing soon but they could but do not dispare they will stop. Mine started about 15years ago after treatment for prostate cancer which I did not have.Good luck and remember we all have our own stories and doubts.We are all here to help each other.
