haven't gone for consultation to him, But apollo is a good hospital, he must be a reputed surgeon. werent you going to meet Dr Susheel? i think he will be back soon, book you appointment, if you are convinced you can go ahead with him.

Did Dr Deepak show you pre/post pics? what cost did he quote?

Hi Hungry.tides,
I emailed Susheel sometime back. he said he is coming back from US on aug 26.. so I am looking at other options..
by the way, how r u recovering? do u feel any pain in the chest?
by the way, do u have any swellings now? how's the scars looking in your areola border? is it true u will have swellings up to 6 months after surgery?? do u still have scar tissue? is it visible?
Thanks,
Tony.

How about Dr. Vivek Bhat in Noble Clinic, Bangalore. he does this with Laser Lipolysis treatment for Rs.20K

never heard of Lipolysis, many people (including me) have gone for power assisted liposuction. it doesnt involve laser. So i wont be able to comment on efficacy of Lipolysis.

about cost, that depends on the procedure too and not just on surgeon. I would suggest you go to another Plastic surgeon, get another opinion, also get a consult with an endocrinologist.

ciao

Laser Lipolysis sounds like another alternate (modern) option for removing fat.
check out http://www.doctorskin.com.au/LaserLipolysis.html
it says
Minimal invasiveness
Virtually no blood loss
Fat may be removed naturally
Minimal recovery time and no bandages

sounds great!!
but did u ask the doctor how would he remove gland?
does the treatmeant charges 20k include everything?
Tony.

Yeah - As you said - it is a modern advanced technique of removing fat. But the doctor said that he will not be touching the breast issue. its only the fat.

Doesnt make sense at all, how does he plan to remove your GLAND !! this doc obviously doesnt know a thing about gynecomastia. Chuck him. Final verdict!!

I had Gyne and got operated a week back in Apollo Bangalore under Dr.Deepak KL. I am impressed with Dr.Deepak, he knew exactly what he is doing.. My breasts were not very big so needed just liposuction and no gland removal.

After a 2 hour surgery I am free from gyne - my chest is very flat and hard - I was told it takes 4 weeks before I could get back to the gym. My stiches have already healed and I will have wear a compression garment.

Hi Sydney_guy, congrats for sucessful op.
Have fun and dont stress your chest. By the way do you have drains? A detailed account of you surgery will help people who are looking for more detailed info. You can start with who all you thought of before going for the particular Surgeon. Test reports etc...

It seems you had only fat and no gland. and how long are you required to wear the compression garment?

Hi guys....The Apollo Hospital he's talking about is Apollo Hospital, Bannerghata Road...adjacent to Wockhardt Hospital and opposite the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. IIM-B.

Sorry for not being around for a long time....Gyne 4 me is a long lost story... Had surgery 5 months back and the results R Just amazing..... Read my full thread "Dr. Anantheswar ".

Im soo glad n suprised that so many guys have gone ahead with the surgery....They all had it in mind...they all wanted that liability off their chest. But were scared to go ahead with it...or some even didnt know how to go about it.

My Earnest request is....."A friend in need is a friend in deed". this is not orkut or facebook...PPl who logg in here r Desperately seeking a solution 4 their Gyne.

Im so proud of  U Hungry Tides..... U stayed to guide all guys here after ur surgery for a much longer time. And thats really appreciable.

Im proud of all U guys guidance have taken da step n win back ur freedom. Cheers 2 all of U....
