Surgeons in the Philippines?

Try visiting the website of Makati med. I've already forgot his office number eh. And paalala lang, beware of General Surgeons that say that they can do this procedure, naoperahan nako ng isang Gen. Surgeon, pero parang walang nangyari, in spite of my case being mild.

anybody here who have experiences with Dr Herbosa? most doctors here mostly do lipo only.

if i could only have enough money and fly abroad i will have my surgery done with great doctors abroad like the Big Two (Dr Bermant or Dr Fielding) that is always being mentioned for their great lipo+incision works.

My mistake then was getting a lipo for my love handles and a lipo with incision for my breasts. I will be consulting three doctors tom and friday for another round of surgery. I will update you as soon as I can.

Last thursday 3/15/07, I had my surgery at Humana Clinic in Makati, Philippines performed by Dr. Benjamin Herbosa. I went to this clinic at 7:00 am and I met him in the lobby of that clinic. Then he let me proceed to the OR so that he can prepare. The nurse in the OR let me change into operating garb. Then he take a picture of my breast with his camera then let me proceed to the operating table. Then he inject the anesthesia near my nipple which in my case local anesthesia and I was awake during the entire procedure. He then start to draw to the affected areas, then he start the procedure which was liposuction. It was good to see that the fats inside my breast were being sucked out through the tube of the liposcution machine. Then after he make sure that my breast is as flat as my left, which is normal (my case is unilateral) he then start to reduce the size of my right nipple because it was slightly larger than the left. At exactly 8:30am, were done with the operation and I paid him 40,000 pesos (about $840) then went home with my Grandmother who accompanied me. 5 days now post op my breast is still bruised and swelling but is now flat. I just have a question for those that had their operation, why is that I can touch some lumps in my breast, is it that because of the bruise and swelling? How long does it take to heal completely? Thanks

I think mas OK kung gising ka pag inooperahan ka kasi makikita mo talaga kung ano ginagawa, at hindi naman sya ganung kasakit. OO lipo lang ang ginawa sakin, after the operation talagang nakita ko na flat na yung right breast ko tapos binawasan nya din yung nipple ko kasi hindi pantay sa left. Mejo masakit yun pero ok lang kaya kong itolerate. Ngayon 1 week postop na ko, maga pa rin. Sabi ni Doc more than a month pa bago mawala yung maga. 2nd time ko ng operation to, yung una General Surgeon lang ang gumawa at hindi successful. Walang vest na binigay, bandage lang ang ginawa sakin. Di ba 3 times ka ng naoperahan, gano ba katagal mag heal ang lipo scar?

I too just had my second surgery. I think the scars frommy first operation healed after a month. Yung healed na as in walang makikita, siguro 2 to 3 months.

yup 3 times. saglit lang yang lipo scar. max na ang 1 month para gumaling ang lipo scar. pero masakit yan pag napisil. tanda ko before 1 year na ang nakalipas pero masakit pa rin pag napipisil.

In my consultations with numerous surgeons here in Manila, I've come to the conclusion that there should be some re-training for doctors for this kind of condition. These doctors should expand their mentality beyond the "just liposuction" thing. Some doctors do not even know how to explain gyne to laymen like us. I'm pretty sure that the market for people suffering from gyne is pretty big. Just go to any gym locker in Manila and you'll see man breasts everywhere.

Update:

Earlier I came back to my doctor for check-up after 6 weeks post-op, and I was scheduled for a revision surgery, because obviously lipo only did not removed all the tissue in there. He will do excision for this revision and will remove the tissue manually as he told me. I will just pay for the hospital facility will be using. Hope this procedure will finally get rid off me this horrible condition that I have. I was scheduled this coming next week.
