Hi doctors,

I have recently gotten my second round of cortisone injections and have a quick question.

A couple hours after my injections I pressed on the side of my areola near where one of the injections was in question. I felt liquid being compressed underneath my fingers and being dispersed.

Could my doctor have missed the scar tissue? The scar tissue is slowly softening as I expected though. Is there any repercussions in cortisone being dispersed within my chest and not being localized within the scar tissue?

Impossible to really answer. Check in with your surgeon. I do not hesitate to inject steroids, but use it in very conservative amounts. I instruct my patients to massage the area for the rest of the day of the injection.
