How long can a Seroma Last ?

I am 7 weeks post surgery , from day one i had much more swelling and numbness in my left hand side.

The bruising has discipated but iam still left with a fairly solid a visible mass almost like a pocket of hard tissue.

I had this diagnosed as a seroma weeks after surgery , the doc said to leave your body to heal it will go down in time.

I'm also sure its a seroma because its way to hard to be remaining gland. My question is............ how long can a seroma take to go on its own 3 months , 6 months ??

I'm still a little bit numb around , do you think wearing my compression garment will make the seroma go quicker ??
