Hi Docs,

I'm presently seven months post-op and I have some concerns about the results of surgery. While I am quite happy with the results on my right pectoral, this is not exactly the case for the left. I've notice that my left nipples seems to crease, especially when flexed. There is also some degree of scar tissue underneath my nipple.

Is this just a part of the healing process, or is it something more concerning (and addressable) like tethering? I've included pictures for reference. While not the greatest quality, it gives a general idea of what I am talking about.

This type of creasing sometimes happens as the areola shrinks a little unpredictably. Overall I suspect that it is more of a concern only to you and that others probably do not "see it". I would recommend massage to the area. Give it another couple months. If still there after 9 months you should return to your surgeon for treatment recommendations.
