What is the general cost of the procedure? Seems like the price is capped at a certain amount so if everyone who's had it done can say what they paid, we can all get a good idea of what the price is. :-)

8000 less $500 from medicare

I'd say it's approx $5500 AUD + hospital costs (approx. $3000 on avg) Some surgeons use their own surgery room at their own premises, so there's no hospital costs.

Doctors fee $3500
Assistant Fee $300
Anaesteistest Fee $900
Garmet $100

I went with the best i could find in brisbane.. and heres what mine came to..

surgeons fee.. 4700

Day theater fee.. 871

Anesthetist fee 950

total $6521

But i do get around 500 back for the doctor. and i heard i might be able to claim some money back from the anesthetist.
