Family Doctor Didn't See Issue, now what? Referral Issues

Hey guys,

Thanks for this site first of all. Interesting stuff.

I think I have very mild gyno, but it still bothers me. So, I talked to my family doctor here and she touched my chest twice and said it's nothing, and that I should not worry about it. I told her that i've had it since I was a teen and wanted to get it fixed and she just kinda blew me off. Now, what I am wondering is what should my next step be?

Can I pay for my own referral and have OHIP maybe play for the surgery? Can I refer myself through some backdoor way? What would you recommend, when in essence, all I need is a referral.

I don't want to just go an visit a bunch of doctors in the city through clinics and whatnot, and troll for a referral. My family doctor would not look kindly on that, and requests that her patients don't do that.
