I would like to start by saying thank-you to all the people who have made posts to this site in regards to the problem of gyno. I have been reserching this problem for 10 years and have had three consultations.
The first time I was scheduled with an open surgury date at the hospital but after waiting 3 years realized that It was not going to happen. The second time I had a consultation with a surgeon in Montreal (2001) but the cost was over $4000 plus a weeks stay in the city so I held off until now. I read on this site about Dr. Fielding and flew to Toronto in December to meet him.
I have decided to proceed with surgury and will be done on Feb.2. My point of this post is to tell other people with this condition that you are not alone like we all think that we are and it can be corrected if it bothers you. It is not easy to keep this a secret with all the travelling and the recoup time but when your boobs consume the way in which you live your life I think its worth the effort. I am in my late 30's so I Know what its like to carry the burden of living with gyno. I will try to help future readers with my own personal post op. experience in the future. Wish me luck!

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 41 and have had Gyne since about 10 years of age. Much emotional suffering!!! Saw Dr. Fielding on Dec. 20th. for consultation and saw him again today to sign all the papers. Surgery is on the 16th. of Feb.

Yeah, it's really amazing how we think that we are the only ones with moobs. I thought that I was the only one. Gyne is a very lonely thing to deal with ( without this Site or others like it ). Not a nice feeling at all.  :-/

You make a good point about how your moobs consume the way in which you live your life. So very true! Nope, can't wear that. Nope, can't go there etc, etc....

Anyways.... once again, good luck with your surgery. Do you have any 'Before' pics? Also post some 'After' shots if you will. Thanks.

I am not very computer savy but when I get home on Friday I will see what I can do with the photos. I fly out tommorrow afternoon. I will definitly post my surgury experience as well as my post op. recovery to help anyone who might be wondering about this procedure.
I am a little worried about how much time I might need to take off from work (construction). I am looking forward to an end to this saga, thats for sure.

I also have a physical job. J.C.F. approved 3 weeks to recoup. My body does not heal as quick as it once did. :-/

However, I may have a fight on my hands to get Great West Ins. to cover my time off of work. The company nurse said that it is 'elective' surgery and that it may not be covererd. That's BS! Will let you know what GW says when they get back to me.

I may have to convince my employer to let me take a few weeks of this years vacation time early.
