Has anyone in Ontario had surgery recently that can provide information on OHIP coverage?  There are a number of threads on the subject with conflicting information.  Some say part of it is covered, others say it's cosmetic and none of it is covered, others say it's covered if you're under 18, etc.

I'm over 18 and my gynecomastia has caused severe, debilitating mental health issues if this is a factor in whether or not it's considered cosmetic.

I would appreciate a solid response to this as well. As it's been winter (heavy clothing), and school and all I've put this issue on the back burner.. but with spring a couple months away I would like to get this dealt with one way or another. In my case there is some fat but not much, the real problem is the puffy pointy nipples and the lumpy mass underneath. I would prefer to burn the fat the old school way and have a doctor rip out the lump.

OHIP pays for all fees except the lipo portion of the procedure...

There is no age limit to my knowledge...  I had GRS done by Doc Fielding when I was 41.
