The extent of the condition <<

I have been overweight most of my life, about 240

in last year I lost about 70 pounds and currently weight 170, but the more i lose the more apparent my chest becomes, I feel incredibly uncomfortable but Im only 18 and surgery is not too easy too afford.

advice? and how bad is it, Im worried because it seems worse then most photos of gynecomastia I see.

I think you look ok right now...
I had gyne since i was 13 and since then I was in the gym trying to work it off rather than pay what seemed to be an impossible ammount that your age. When I started college it bothered me a lot more and working out didnt help.  I finally got the surgery done a few weeks ago, and it has motivated me to get back in the gym and get back in better shape.

IMHO If I were you I would do as much work as you can on your own now and if it is still an issue consider surgery.
If u want any advise to get in better shape let me know.
Peace and Love

Congratulations on your weight loss!  Does it not feel much better with that weight off?  70 pounds is an amazing amount of weight loss!

Weight Loss Can help with the fat of gynecomastia, but not the gland. Remaining fat, gland, and sometimes the skin can be residual contour concerns.

Weight loss before surgery is usually much better than weight loss after surgery. Weight loss is a coarse tool, Plastic Surgery is better reserved for refinement. This is especially true when tissue sagging is a factor.  Why lift sagging tissue, lose more weight, and see that tissue sag again from further deflation?

Weight loss and surgical sculpture is a series of compromises. What suites any one individual will vary.  Ideal sequence that I recommend my patients:

  • Get to a weight you are comfortable living with.
  • Let the skin adjust as much as it will. It can take from 6 to 18 months for skin equilibration after a gastric bypass and major weight loss.
  • After Massive Weight Loss, Consider Tightening Lower Tissues First. There is little sense to lift the chest and then have a tummy tuck, lower the chest result, requiring a revision chest lift.
  • Then Address the Chest.
  • Use No Surgery Body Shaping Garments as emotional support not to rush the process.

Bouncing redundant flesh also can be a major emotional factor stressing any patient trying to lose weight.  That is why I posted Videos of Compression Garments dealing with gynecomastia and stabilization.

The remaining fat and sagging can be stressful for a work in progress, being patient, finishing off the weight loss first is a better option.

Hope this helps,

It depends of your Gyencoamstia bro
if there are glands .. losing weight will make it worse
if there are fat cells ... losing weight is the ultimate thing to do
most even .. combination of fat and glandular tissue exist .. so losing weight will help to some extent .. till most of fat tissues are burned.
ask your dr. about ur gynecoamstia

If you have medical coverage then go get blood work done, your fat retention looks to be estrogen related (chest, lower stomach, love handles.) the doctor may give you an A.I to lower estrogen and have you continue fitness training.

I say continue working out and training hard, get your diet in check.
