Hi guys,

I have had gyne since I was 12 or 13. I finally got surgery last Wednesday at the age of 26.

I wanted to ask if anyone else also suffers from cellulite. I am not a huge guy. Average weight proportional to my body. I have been up and down in weight through out my life but I've always had a kinda dimpled butt and upper thigh / hamstring area.

Are the two conditions linked? Now that the gyne glands are gone is it possible that the dimpling on my butt will go as well?

I know cellulite is a female problem, but would the breast gland that got excised be
the cause of it?

Any thoughts?

I checked out my but and thighs today, four days post op, and it looks like the skin has smoothed out a lot but some dimplng remains... Or maybe I'm just insane... Heheehe...

The term cellulite was coined (I think) by people who were trying very hard to sell weight loss products.

Sometimes, connective tissue will pull in and cause the skin to dimple here and there. That is perfectly normal and even happens to people who have rather little body fat.

I know cellulite is a female problem.

Cellulite:

Deposits of subcutaneous fat within fibrous connective tissue (as in the thighs, hips, and buttocks) that give a puckered and dimpled appearance to the skin surface...

Is not limited to females dude... ;)
