Hi there,

I am hopefully due for surgery to remove my Gynecomastia on July 2nd. The thing is when people ask me to come out for example what excuse can I give?

So far I have told my cousin as he was asking me something that I had to have surgery on my stomach area.

So basically what fake "surgery" procedure can I tell people?

Sorry for the weird question and Thank you.

It's not a wierd question at all.  It's been frequently asked here.

Most people seem to use the "benign growths" explanation.  That's the one I used, as well.  I think it's easier to believe than some of the more outlandish ones you hear about.  The idea is to fly under the radar and keep it dull and uninteresting.  Make the other person want to change the subject.  If you tell someone you're having a couple of benign growths removed, they'll usually believe you and not ask any more questions.  It's not really a lie, either.

Pulled muscle? That could work.

How about that I had a collection of waste cells near my stomach area and I had to have it removed?

Sounds about right?

lol Thanks.

Well my chest is noticable so I dont want to say "Waste tissue from my chest" as it just so obvious that I got surgery on it.

Any like surgerys that are located in the upper stomach area and that is internal? That would work for me I think.

Thanks.

I used "benign growth" removal as well.  I think it's good that people around you DO KNOW that you've had "some sort of" surgery in the chest area, so they don't jokingly punch/pinch you or hurt you in other ways.

My grandmother used to say "Your friends don't need an explanation and your enemies don't deserve one."

That said, If you are going to offer an explanation, tell the truth. It is better that possibly being caught in a lie later on.

The Benign growth explanation may be misleading a bit, but it is the truth.

i don't like to stretch the truth, but i think that term's general enough to cover it honestly.  others have tried cracked rib, but i like the first better, and it doesn't invite as much followup questions.
