Hey guys,
I'm thinking that I need to get some bloodwork done to learn of my hormone levels.  Can anyone recomend some things to look for?
I have mild gyno - puffy nipples with some glandular/fibrous tissue underneath.  I'm taking Propecia for hairloss and would like to know if this is messing up my progress with gyno.

Thanks.

These are the main tests that are usually run on your blood.  Some don’t bother with the Free Androgen Index as there is some doubt as to its reliability.

LH
FSH
Prolactin
Testosterone
Oestradoil
SHBG
Free Androgen Index
T3
T4
TSH

A good endocrinologist should be able to interpret the results and let you know if there is anything that seems to be wrong.

As for Propecia (finasteride), listed among its possible side effects is breast tenderness and enlargement (gynecomastia). Frankly if I had the choice, I would rather lose my hair than grow breasts.

Good luck.
