although i have only made a few post, i have been coming to this site for over a year and making post. Over the past week I have looked at some of the pictures and why is it that when someone that is in good shape and acutally takes care of themselves, ppl that may be heavier say that the person does not have gynecomastia. It is a load of crap, it is almost worse for us ppl that are in shape and have good bodies minus the small deformity in the pectoral area. Let me tell you it sucks when your in shape and there is nothing you can do about your chest. A lot of ppl like this clown blatino have to realize that it is prob worse for us because we take care of our bodies instead of just bitching about the gyne and doing nothing about it.

I completely agree as well. The immature few that lurk amongst these boards really need to take a hike.

I think Blatino is obviously a pervert and just likes to see guys with their shirts off.  I am not as fit or as young as most of the people who post on this site.  I would never slam someone who thinks they have a case and I don't see it.  But when someone says "what do you guys think" or "do I have it"  I think you have to look at their pics and be honest.  Sometimes it may be better to tell someone that they don't need surgery and that will be enough for them to get over it.  I think that surgery is up to you.  No one thinks it looks as bad as the person who has it.  So, if you are really fit and you nipple sticks out a little,  most people don't look at you and think "man look at his nips".  They probabley say " that dude has a nice build".  When you have a hard time keeping lean moobs make you look like a lazy piece of sht.  I run 25-35 miles per week, but I am not very lean.  Man boobs on me make me look like I am letting my self go and just don't care  I have lost a ton of weight and could lose more, but I am far from lazy.  So, that is what I have to deal with.  I think some guys might be a little jealous when they see a fit guy with a slight case. But, most of the people in the world are out of shape, so the oppinion you get (from fat people) is what normal people think when they see you more fit guys.

All that being said, it is only important if you think you have it.

very well put...I totally agree. I have worked so hard for perfect body (minus the puffy nips). I too think its worse for us. Surgery is the only option...and 2 surgeries later, I still have puffiness. I just dont know what to do now.
8 years of suffering Mild gyne...
2 surgeries & $6,000 later....
         STILL PUFFY   :/

There isn't really a body of people that equate to the forum.  It  changes from month to month, week to week, day to day.

The opinion of the forum changes as people come in and prople move on.

The forum has been very pro this or negative that at differing times......

If I sound like a crossword puzzle...Oh well

you are right on that one. I just wanted to make that point because the fact of the matter is that the gland is in your skin, and it does not make much difference how much fat you have because surgery is the only way to take it away... For people that have just had gland excision what has been the price range of your surgery. I have a consultation next month and i am not really looking to spend 5 grand on something that I notice more than others. Also has anyone tried putting gland excision through insurance coverage. I was looking at myy plan and i think it is possible that some will be covered.

I will assume the opening post was not intended to be inflammatory.  That said, I find it offensive and ill thought out.  I say this because it is clear to me that this person has little idea of what constitutes a 'worthy' candidate for gynaecomastia and seems to base his judgement mainly on 'who looks after themselves, looks a better overall shape' and by implication that 'gynaecomastia is a more serious issue for 'in shape' people than those that are fat.'

So gynaecomastia 'sucks' when you are in shape and there is nothing you can do about your chest.  Well despite my very significant reduction in overall body fat, my t*ts remained identical in size and shape.  I could have had surgery whilst at my fattest, but wanted proof for myself that it was not a weight issue.

Was I more upset in having boobs as a leaner guy compared to when I was fatter?  Absolutely not.  If anything, my self esteem was lower when I was fatter and had boobs than when I was in better overall shape and still had boobs.

The point is, you CANNOT quantify and compare how one guy's gynaecomastia affects them psychologically irrespective of who has the bigger boobs or how well they happen to look after themselves.

I am a gym slave and run marathons.  I eat well, but despite this, I don't have cover model's physique and never will.  My boyfriend on the other hand, eats sh*t, does no exercise what-so-ever and everyone thinks he works out more than me.

Some people have naturally good body shapes with little or no effort.  Other have to work hard just to stay out of the 'overweight' zone on the charts.

To suggest that a healthy lifestyle and having a good physique entitles someone to be more effected by this condition is ridiculous.

The next post by Gruff  " The bottom line though really, if your fat as fuk with a gut the size of a baby rhino and your old and ugly who cares that you've got gyne"

Well, I don't know if I would have been considered 'fat as fuk' and I don't know if my ripe age of 33 is considered old and I just might be ugly in your eyes.  If I do fulfil your criteria, I never did and never will care if you care or not.  Fortunately I can see that this kind of comment speaks volumes about your own insecurities much more than it does about the people you describe.  I don't know who you are, but I am sure I would never judge you in such a derogatory way.

I don't know of this 'blatino' character.  Whatever his thoughts, opinions or whatever his physical and mental status on the subject is, it does not validate the kind of retorts I so disappointingly read on this thread.  Each and every guy that suffers with gynaecomastia is unique.  No two cases are ever the same.  If judgement has to be passed, at least leave to those that ask for it, otherwise leave it to the medical profession.

No when I was overweight my gyne was twice as big. Plus I had a gut as well. I think it is more guys are disappointed that all the effort they put in ,in the gym is to no avail and they still have those damm nips. And surgery is the only option.Thats why it feels worse.

I feel like this but when I remember how I couldn't fit into 32 jeans , my gyne showed thorugh t-shirts and people would look I think I am in a better situation now than before while I save up for surgery. The embarrassment factor has gone down  from severe to minor just like the gyne did.

Oh believe me when I was 'as fat as fuk' I bloody did care about the gyne esp as the weight gain was med induced and it didn't matter if I lived in the gym.....you can't put people in boxes on this site or gyne. I agree with Phantom on that.

Yeah but people just let themselves get fat.

It's as simple as that.

No-one came out of Auschwitz with a beer belly.

It's a choice you make. I agree some people have to work harder than others. But isn't that true of everything in life?

If your shirtless on the beach then your chest is the focal point of your body. People do notice those darn puffy nipples. At least the fit chicks will. Maybe not the guys or galls with their guts hanging down to their knees. But well... They chose to be like that, and it's their problem. Don't whine our cases are 'mild' so aren't important. Or you cant see it when people post pics, because your mind is too focused on that empty bucket of KFC in the corner and wondering whether you should go and buy another one...

Fukk off.

Gruff

Gruff, first off, there is a difference between having a gut to your knees and just not having a 6 pack.  The worldisn't made up of people who are super lean and people who just eat KFC.  You are way too extreme.  I would argue that you should get no sympathy because you did juice.  Talk about chosing to be the way you are.  Maybe they should deny your surgery, because you chose to subject yourself to bicth breast.  That would be stupid. Which is exactly what you are being.  If the only thing in life that was important to me was having a six pack I could come pretty close.  My priorities are different, that doesn't mean I am a fat ass or that the women I date are fat asses. It just means that I am not as thin as some of you.  But I am probably a lot stronger, I can do a lot more cardio,  and can probably beat you and most american sports.  Both situations are more controlled by nature than choice.
