Brdy64, your daughter sounds amazing
She is great! She had turned out to be a wonderful woman. I am very proud of her.....
But her makeup kit is not welcome at my house! 🤣🤣🤣

One thing I have done in moving slowly to women's clothing is avoiding flamboyant colors and styles.
I keep in fairly conservative and easy colors.
LOTS of black!

This helps keep things relatively easy, and like you not doing the makeup thing.
I still use lots of dark colors, but I am really drawn to bright pretty colors now. I am not sure why, but if I like it I'm going to make an outfit to wear it with.
This last year my hair started growing like crazy, I am assuming it's hormonal. Needless to say I grew a "Mullet".
My daughter wants to bring her makeup kit over, but nope! I am not doing that.
The biggest growing pain right now I guess is not really knowing where my "zone" is.
I don't know where I'll be with everything by next year? 🤔
I started buying unpadded bras that were rather blah... beige tones, navy, black and grey etc.

Later on I became more interested in sheer flamboyant / provocative colors but not obtrusive with push up / padded cups. Floral, lace, and outlandish colors are all well hidden under a T-shirt and button down outer shirt. I have to say I adore them and I can definitely see how some of the women in my life had very similar tastes who collected quite a few.

Just when you think you are in 100% acceptance, you realise that deep down inside there is still a bit of resistance.
A good friend was going to visit this weekend. One that I have not seen in almost a year. I knew I was a bit concerned about all the 'changes', and what he might say. I really did want to shoot a few games of pool with my buddy anyway.
My hair is much longer now, my boobs are much bigger, and I'm not going to suffer through sweating in bib overalls for anyone anymore. I'll wear what's comfortable.
All of these were grave concerns all morning leaving me in a nervous wreak. My emotions were on edge.
I can't express enough the relief I felt when my buddy called to cancel.
I guess the constant soreness in my breasts, the obvious appearance of their presence, and the changes in my 'persona' that this hormonal stew has accomplished has me rather self-conscious when it comes to seeing old friends again.
I was a wreak knowing he was coming by, now I'm a wreak knowing that I was a wreak over it. 🤔

I understand and appreciate your concern.  Our acceptance doesn't mean others have.  I feel our understanding of the issue doesn't equate to everyone  else's knowledge and understanding.

I haven't been "called out" yet so I can't help you with a this is what I did.  I will say for times like that I do tone things down as much as possible.  Suitable bra, clothing choice etc.  I will even endure some additional discomfort for that period as to avoid that one time moment of shock and aw.  It isn't bad to say, should something be said about it, that age, health issues and nature are changing us all in different ways.  Mother nature is a mad scientist.

The 'hormonal stew' that created these boobs plays havoc on our emotions. Estrogen is quite the mischievous hormone. 😳

Strange how my taste in foods, activities, colors, even the class of friends I like to 'keep near' all changes as my hormone levels fluctuate.

I'm the same person, but with a different way of looking at things. I always had gynecomastia, and therefore estrogen dominate but lately I have been off the charts. As my growth streak started a little more than a year ago things have been wild. 🙄

I agree it changes many parts of us but I wouldn't call it havoc.  It makes us into the unique individuals we are. Everyone is.  Again, there really is no "normal".

Perhaps a strange subject to mention, but do any of you have changes in breast size during the month?

I can be busting the seams on a freshly cleaned bra one week, then the same freshly cleaned bra will be a perfect fit or just a tad loose next week.

It seems to go in cycles, and just when I think I need new bras the girls will fit nicely again.
I was thinking it was water retention, but my ankle swelling doesn't correspond with they breast swellings.

Just wondering, am I the only one?

I have kept a near daily check on measurements and discovered a steady but undeniable fluxuation in size.

when this started my bust line was at44.25 inches. Just ever so less more than my band size.

Today my band size is nearly 44 inches but bust is at 50-51 inches depending.

The need for hydration is clear, but this is also a form of water retention.

I have stabilized at a DD/DDD (depending on bras).
I think I'm done growing.

Even though growth has stabilized, I still have about 1/2 cup fluctuations within the month. It can be seen in bust measurements as well.

It's rather strange because it does not correlate with my retaining water either.

I do believe that a lot of people have cycles, and various intake differences that have our bodies "adjusting" to accommodate them. Regardless of birth assignment, bloating happens with hormones, water retention. etc. Many of us just don't keep track, and it can drive us a bit crazy with the number of variables involved.
