Yea that looks like gyno. Unfortunately the only way to be rid of it is through surgery. You should contact plastic surgeons in your area if you want it taken care of.

Nah, you should wait it out at least a few years, it could go away on it's own or at least shrink in size.  Don't let people here talk you into getting surgery at your age.  Hit the gym and get in shape.  Get down to single digit body fat and work on your upper chest and it will look a lot better.

You don't need weight loss.  It looks like you have true gland tissue, not extra fat.  At your age, you need to be evaluated by your pediatrician.  Get your parents to make an appointment to have you evaluated.  If all of your hormone levels are normal, you'll probably need glad excision.  And don't worry, that does NOT cost $4 grand.  If it does, you need to find another plastic surgeon.  Minor gland removal (only) is not a big deal.

Talk to your parents and see your doctor.

also, while working out is good prep for an op, it tends to make the gyne more visible, not less.
* a man is more than a body will ever tell
* if it screws up your life the same, is there really any such thing as "mild" gyne?

I agree -- no amount of exercise or diet is going to improve your situation -- you are already quite slender.  It appears that you have puffy nipples and removal by surgery will flatten them out and make them look normal.

Agree with Dr. Pope -- cover all bases and see your pediatrician and perhaps an endo.  If endo tests are normal and if you have had this problem for over two years with no change, then you and your folks might consider surgery to remove it.

Have you checked out your BMI or Body Mass Index?  Weight loss will not help subtle Puffy Nipple Gynecomastia.

Hope this helps,

The cost will vary, depending usually on the part of the country you are in.  If you're interested, I can check on the price tomorrow at my office.  There is an option of having this type of surgery under local anesthesia or under general anesthesia or intravenous sedation.  At your young age, I would recommend some method other than local anesthesia.

I'm curious as to how much you charge for just 'minor' puffy areolas also doc.

Thanks!

I'm at home (Saturday).  I'll check at the office and post the fee.
