Hi guys,

I'm (again) trying to work up the courage to deal with gyne. My plan is to consult docs first and then show those straight to my family so that i dont need to CONVINCE them that i am indeed suffering from a condition.

My question is, which docor do i need to visit? Please dont say plastic surgeon straight away.

I wanna find out the cause of my problem ( God forbid, it may even be cancer) --> i wanna see if everything is ok in my body. Health is more important than physical appearnace.

At that point, i would ask him if my hormones r stablized now or if i need treatment or wat not. Cuz as far as i understand, if ur hormones r not wacked out and u dont have a disease, u can pretty much safely have surgery.

Please tell me which type of specialist i should go to? or should i consult my general practionner (who is an idiot).

My dream: have a killer summer

Hi mate,

I'm no expert, but a trip to your gp may be the first stop. Just to check out your general health.  I think your hormone levels can be checked out when he/she does a blood test, and they can do a physical examination of your testicles to see if there's any abnormalities there. i think that's the start. If you're given the all clear, then I believe the plastic surgeon may be the next person to see. I think if you list your age, how bad your gyne is (a pic) how long you've had it and where you are based (uk, US, etc.) then some of the more knowledgeable memebrs than myself will probably be able to weigh in with some more advice (or correct the advice I've tried to give!!!  :-[  ) good luck anyhow!

M

thats 2 both u of u for ur replies. actually i was just a bit confused because ppl sometimes mention about visiting endocrologist (or something like that) and often i've the word urologist has been thrown around. yea, i'm just really scared to deal with my issues.

i know life will be a million times better after i do. its just the whole seeing my family thing that freaks me out - cant get around to bringing it up. been trying for years, i've made it a big deal in my head when in reality it shouldnt be. Its nothing to be ashamed of and i havnet brought it upon my self by doing steroids or marijuana.

no i'm not in the US.

u know what mate,

you should just go for it. Just think about how much time you're wasting worrying about this condition, when you can do something about it! Make a start..book an appointment with an endocrinologist, or a gp or whatever, and just make a start. It's not so bad at all. Save up your money, get some advice/support from people on here, and you can be free from it...but it starts with you!
:-)
