Hi,

Glands in the breast is part of being a mammal for both male and female.  It is a question of how big is the gland.  When very small, the gland does not contribute to a female like contour.  Unfortunately for those with very little body fat such as BodyBuilders with Gynecomastia, even a little gland can look abnormal.

Hope this helps,

All men have gland tissue immediately beneath their nipple/areolas.  Gynecomastia is a condition in which there is excessive amounts of this same tissue.

Three Drs. have responded 100% yes. If we could keep this thread going until hundreds of Drs. have responded the result would still be the same.

Male or female, At birth we all have the same beginnings of breasts. We are all mammals.

Many newborn boys have gynecomastia which usually diminishes in a matter of months.

Even having some degree of growth in early puberty is not at all odd. When the growth persists after puberty, we call it gynecomastia.

the main reason I asked this question is because is there a way to differentiate true gyne from pseudo?

is there any self test to find out if mine is true gyne or I have more fat & some amount of tissue which every men has?

The answer to your question is that it doesn't really matter if you have fat or gland -- and even in the most experienced hands, it is very difficult to tell how much of fat or gland you really have.  What counts is whether you have any excess tissue.  And if you have excess tissue on your chest -- and if it bothers you -- then try diet and exercise -- and if that doesn't work, then surgery might be your answer.  (Obviously, this assumes your excess tissue is stable and not due to any underlying medical condition, anabolic steroid intake, etc).

I don't believe there is a major distinction between "true gyne" and "pseudo-gyne."  There is only a difference in the ratio of fat and gland -- but both have gland present.
