I don't know if he's considered to be a specialist, but he sure as hell does his share of gyne ops, as well as other types of procedures.

His name has been common here for some time.

Yeah I know it's been common and I have an appointment with him, but I have heard the term "gynecomastia specialist" more and more and am wondering if there are people who specialize in it even more than he.

Laurier....

JCF's specialty is 'Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery'.

Gynecomastic reduction is just one of the proceedures that he does. As Achilles said, JCF has done "his share of Gyne ops" to qualify him as a 'Gyne specialist'....   ;)

Are you having second thoughts about having JCF as your surgeon?

  • there is hope.
very seldom would you have a 'gyne specialist'. mainly because gyne is such a 'hush hush' sort of problem.

interestingly, i bumped into this bodybuilding forum.. where these 15-16 year old guys were discussing about how to cure this "swelling" in their chest. one of them said that doing a bunch of bench presses would help.. the other guy recommended a special type of diet. some other guy said that the bigger your chest, the smaller your (i shall quote his exact words) "little friend" and reading it, i was thinking "what the hell are these kids talking about"..

some of them described the EXACT symptoms of gyne. they said they felt a "pea sized" lump under their nipple.. looking at their age, i would almost exactly pinpoint to gyne..

surprizingly, not a single kid mentioned gyne.org. gyne is such a hidden subject, they NEVER mentioned it in any of my sex ed classes, in any of my health or biology classes. i was completely obvlivious to gynecomastia till i turned 18!! i just thought i was some freak of nature.. i'm serious.

hence.. getting back to the point. because gynecomastia is such a 'shunned' topic from contemporary society, i don't think it would be lucrative for any plastic surgeon to specialize in gynecomastia.. hence, most of the PS that you will visit (like JCF) are plastic surgeons, who do all types of plastic surgery.. gyne just happens to be one of them..

and mind you, looking at all the post op pictures posted by fielding's patients.. i can tell you that he does do a damn good job.  :)

you should be in good hands,

Yeah, Bambu, I guess I have.  Just wasn't sure if there was like a surgeon who did only gyne surgeries, that would be ideal, probably.
