gynecomastia surgery costing arround £5'000 pounds

boob job (breast implants) arround £3'500 pounds

why is gyno surgery more expensive for what seems a much lesser procedure? is gyno much more complicated or is it because there's much more boob jobs done than breast reduction jobs done?

Gynecomastia prices vary by your area and the Dr's expertise. But, I have never seen them to be more expensive than a breast augmentation. Our prices for Gynecomastia is around $5000, and a breast augmentation starts at around $5950.

Gynecomastic Reduction Surgery:  Excision and Lipo...

Breast Augmentation:  Implant install...

I would have to say that there is more work to be done for a GRS procedure.

Which procedure requires more of your time/is more complicated doc?

A gynecomastia procedure takes about the same amount of time as a breast augmentation, but there is no implant to pay for, therefore; gynecomastia is less expensive. Although there is both lipo and breast tissue/skin excision, after doing so many gynecomastia procedures, it has become very predictable and has made it easier to do. I believe that gynecomastia is one of the most important procedures I do and dedicate a lot of my practice to perfecting my technique. Since it takes less time, I have actually been able to lower my price in the last few years.

GB,

The cost of an implant varies based on the type (silicone, saline, textured, etc) and the manufacturer. There really is no set cost.

Reminds me of an old joke,

"Why is divorce so expensive?"  "Because it's worth it."

While I have no personal experience on that particular subject, I do think gyne surgery is worth the costs.

But I would think that the sheer volume of augmentation procedures would drive down costs.  If there where 100,000 gyne procedures done nationwide yearly, it'd probably be pretty cheap.

But I don't want cheap.  I want a PS who's a master at the craft.  And I doubt there's any PS who does over 1000 gyne procedures a year.

*these numbers are completely arbitrary before anybody jumps me!

Does the patient have the option of which to go with? Which type is better IYO?

Why would a 'textured' implant be of importance? ???

I've heard of docs giving the procedure at about $15,000. That's what I call expensive.
If you have gyne, dont expect not be laughed at.

Just like if you walk into a locker room, you're gonna see some hairy asses and dicks.

Unfortunately for me, both have occured in my life way too many times.

I have heard of $10,000 give or take a few dollars, but never $15,000... Yes, that is some serious coin.

However, if 15G's is what it would have taken to have my G removed, then I would have paid it! Would have had to take out a personal loan though...   :-\

If a procedure was 15 g's, it would be cheaper just to fly out to another doc that's out of state. I don't remember where, it was on these boards, or youtube, where a boy was talking about a doc charging 15 g's.
