Good News:

I've lost almost 20 pounds. 

Bad News:

My breasts continue to grow larger. 

I understand that the root cause of this (for me), is my taking testosterone injections. Nevertheless, it's still 20 pounds!

I think you need to have a good heart to heart talk with your Endocrinologist.

If your Hypogonadism is being treated by a GP, You really need a specialist.

The unfortunate fact is that significant breast enlargement does sometimes accompany treatment with Testosterone. I do not know to what extent it can be controlled, but you really need to have that talk with your Doctor.

It might be that this is the price you'll have to pay for being in otherwise reasonably good health.

You are, of course, correct. Please allow me to provide some additional information that may shed more light on the issue.

I am 51 years old, down 20 pounds to 285. My dad died at 52 from a heart attack, and I already have 2 stents. I have significant back/leg pain due to L5 & L4 being bone on bone, with L5 being cocked to one side by nearly 12deg., and backward trapping the disc between it and L4. I drive for a living and wear compression stockings for edema, which is why I choose to wear a bra over a compression garment. My employer just changed our insurance coverage this month doubling our deductible, and changing our co-pay from 80/20 to 70/30%. I began taking testosterone largely due to significant anger (think laughing to rage in an instant). I never would have put LOW testosterone together with anger, but it is one of the indicators. Since starting it I've been myself, as it were, and have actually been pleasant to have around.

Given the options (and the fact that I take home about $1,600 a month and have a mortgage), I'll gladly take DD cups over the rage any day, and so will my wife! My breasts constitute nothing more to me than some embarrassment and funny looks. The price of uncontrolled anger is simply higher than I'm willing to pay.
