I too am planning for surgery, very soon  ::)

but before that i need to talk to my endo again, and get that Estradiol figured out.

Your T/E2 ratio is 22/1. Not bad, but could be a little better for a young guy.

You might want to try this: You have a little room to lower estradiol. Whenever Estradiol drops, testosterone rises. Think of a tetor-totor like children play on. push one end down, other end goes up. Its a scientific fact.

Here is one thing you could try: There is a product called DIM which is derived from cruciferious vegetables and is available from the healthfood store. You can also increase consumption of cruciferious veggies. This will help metabolise estrogen from the body.

Zinc is a natural aromatase inhibitor which helps prevent the conversion of testosterone to estradiol.  a max of 50 mg zinc per day along with 2 mg copper ( zinc depletes copper) will also help. Start with a lower dose to see if that works.

The zinc and DIM + cruciferous veggies should lower estradiol and raise testosterone. ( remember the teter-toter)  You may notice a change such as increased erections. The kind that wake you up in the night. Morning wood is the best indicator that things are right with these hormones. You may notice better muscle gains from your workouts.

You only need to lower your estradiol a little and raise testosterone a little and you will hit a 30/1 ratio. This one is easy.

It looks like i might finally have answers to my problems. BTW, i just found out - my
T/E2 ration is 24/1 ~  arrgh! :D

I wish my T/E2 ratio was 24/1.  Mine runs in the 9/1 arena, but I am 50 years old. The goal is a ratio between 25/1 to 30/1.

Under 12hrs till i'm in surgery!  I am excited...not really nervous about the surgery, but more about that I hope the results will be everything i'vr hoped for the past 10 years.  ...And nervous about losing too much fitness since I can't train for 3 weeks...doctors orders.

I'm just over 24 hours post op!  The doctor said that everything went well.  I'm pretty sore, but I wouldnt say im in pain...I get to take my first shower in 24 hours, and i'll get to see a preview of trhe results...even now with trhe compression suit on I look super flat!  woohoo!!!!   still kinda can't believe I actually had the srgery done!

3 weeks just passed! I am still a little swollen, and expect to be for another month or two or three....but I am super flat, and I can see the definition of my pecs..and I can make them dance lol  I think I am even more excited to be able to start training again..3 weeks doing nothing really sucked.  Its also a good feeling to be able to buy a shirt that fits!  I've gone down two shirt sizes from a mens medium or small to a youth large...I'm a small guy 5'7, 145. 

The best $$ that has even been spent on myself, my new love of .....well, me,  brought a tear to my moms eye.    And the results are only going to get better over the next few months...

I just spent some time wandering around the internet and came up with some interesting numbers.

Normal testosterone level could be anything from 270 to 1100 for an adult male according to one site.

What I found in another site was somewhat more revealing:

Pre-Puberty, normal testosterone level is in the range of 100-200.
The normal level climbs with onset of puberty reaching or passing 1000 usually by the age of 20.
The level will remian fairly steady until it starts to decline at the age of about 35.
It will have fallen into the 500 range when a man is in his 50s.
At the age of 80, or near after, The testosterone level will again be at or near the pre-puberty levels.

This is one example of how hormone levels must be considered with reference to age. I'm quite sure that with sufficient study I could find another site with equal authority that charts the levels differently.

It is also very important to know how the various hormones relate to each other. Each hormone does not play alone, they play together. The result being less like a solo and more like a full orchestral concert.

All of this points to the fact that if you really want a good evaluation of hormone tests it is necessary to see an Endocrinologist who has specialized in such things.

OK, i am 1 month post Op and 'am planning to start some light cardio. I also plan to start taking
the DIM + Zinc (& copper) combo. Any recommendations on how much DIM/day?
