Hey my name is steve, I'm pretty new to this site. I am 28 and in the past few months I have noticed breast growth out of what seems to be nowhere. I am 15% body fat and exercise daily so i know it's not a fat issue. I also take no supplements cause initially when growth occurred it was cause of what I had thought to be a product that research showed can cause hormonal imbalances. But after months of stopping it all growth still progresses. Shape and size isn't an issue right now, but the fullness is seemingly intense. Even when I flex my pecs they are soft and can feel nodules of tissues all over the chest spectrum. My skin has gotten dramatically softer, libido has dropped a lot, and lets just say when i "finish" in the bedroom its not as it used to look which all accounts to hormonal issues right?! Well when I went to the dr when I first noticed problems they found nothing wrong. Said my t was low but not dangerous to where it should be affecting things like this.
I am a bit of a hypochondriac so i did a ton of research online to find what may be the cause and the only thing that constantly comes up besides low t is hypogonadism. Which being a hypochondriac it scares me to think my body is betraying me and becoming feminine in its sense. I'm personally not worried cause I just dont care what ppl think and am ok with whatever in life. But I do have a gf whos friends and family is very religious and wearies me how they will react if my chest does develop in to breasts and shapely sizable ones at that :/.

QUESTION:
Is there any way gyne can come out of nowhere? I know its usually idiopathic in diagnosis but curious if its possible to "just happen". I work around oils and chemicals at work and drink a ton of water so i carry a plastic jug daily and hear of xenoestrogens that can do things. But still enough to make an impact?

Hi Steven,

My gyne onset was a straight puberty thing.  Yours doesn't seem like that.  Here is the thing.  Compare your Total Testosterone and your Free Testosterone and there are two more things in the test, albumen and something else that also binds the T.  Here is the thing, first it is the free T that determines response.  Second a single range is given for all ages typically.  Compare your numbers to an age adjusted scale.  Your T should be "normal" for your age, not for an 85 year old man.  "Not Dangerous" doesn't mean that it isn't affecting you.  Certain vitamin "insufficiencies" (low AdoCbl, MeCbl, L-methylfolate and L-carnitine fumarate) affect how hormones getting made and their usage because they affect every such transaction in the body and these insufficiency symptoms are all built into the tests as "normal" (often "low normal").  How is your "energy"?  Are you always fatigued, perhaps sleeping badly. How easily do you grow muscle? You know, most things have causes and most causes leave more symptoms behind than one or two, if they are recognized they become clues.  It sounds like you could use a a more thorough workup and try some vitamins of the right kind if they find nothing or even some specific things.   Did or do you have canker sores or sores at the corners of your mouth?  Muscle spasms in your legs at night?  "Growing pains" as they are sometimes called?  Osgood Schlatter's disease (tender bump on the knee) left over from teen years?  Any growth irregularities?  You are at an age where something could be causing this and could be something different than just a little harmless gyne.

Let me make a suggestion.  The answers you are looking for may be in the small details that only you can see from the inside and watching the details from day to day.  That is how I solved my health problems, looking at the small details and changes.  Keep a detailed diary.  Maybe you will find a cycle.  I had a 2 week cycle of biochemical changes in my body and so far no specific cause that affects my health and has my whole life.  I have learned to manage the symptoms and keep it's effects small.

Good luck.  If you can find 10 or 20 symptoms, even apparently unrelated, it may give some clues tracked over a period.

Alchemist is totally correct.

None of the hormones work alone, they work together and the result is like trying to compare an instrumental solo to a symphony.

Sadly, most Doctors are not able to decipher the results of a battery of hormone tests.  Not that the Doctors are deficient, but that no one can know everything.  If you really want a good analysis of your tests and breast growth then you need to contact an Endocrinologist.  Even among Doctors in this specialty there are specialists and if possible you should try to find one with an interest in reproductive problems.

Agree with the above, at your age you should have not of the age related decline in T that can lead to age related Gyne - get referred to an endo ASAP.....

wow didnt know i had replies guess i forgot to click the notify me box sorry on the response, but thank you so much everyone for replying, and alchemist I have had cold sores in the past ever since I was a kid i get them bout twice a year when weather acts up...midwest here so its spring one day siberia the next in the winters. And have some of the other things as well. I have been to a dr and endo since I posted both of which found absolutely nothing wrong. So I find myself in a situation where I feel they are still growing and filling up and to the point they bounce and jiggle when I run, but shape wise not so bad yet. My worry is I tell my gf about it and the fact I may need a bra eventually if they keep growing with no hopes of it stopping with dr's not findnig anything causing it, and her initial reaction is i dont like it but whatever.  I don't want to lose a woman I love over something I dont love, and it's not that I hate my gynecomastia, honestly the sensitivity and emotions it gives in the bed room is amazing now, and I've never been one to care what people think about my image. I am fairly masculine, work out often, stay in shape, which makes my chest more noticeable to me at least. I am not feminine whatsoever except I shave my legs cause I work out and like to show off the contour (vain i know). But being 28 and growing breasts isn't ideal to me but if its something that is happening for whatever the reason I'm okay with it. If its not killing me or threatening me I'm not gonna spend 5-6k on insecurities to help a PS pay for his mortgage lol.
Thanks for the responses and hopefully it stops soon but if it grows to be shapely breasts instead of moobish where it is now, and I need support I am thrilled to know theres a place I can come for support.

Well over half of the gyne has no explanation I think. Mine came on after taking prednisone for over a year for ulcerative colitis. I take a ton of heart meds and 68 so T is going south too. I have always been chesty but nothing like this. Am I distressed...No.... Do I wear a bra.....Yes 40 C or D 7 days a week. Sort of in between sizes  right now. Are my breasts still growing ...yes slowly now. Without a bra my breasts hurt from bouncing around walking or riding. Before I wore bras they stayed sore all the time. The comfort far outweighs the stigma by a long shot.Any girl friend or wife that really loves you should not have a problem. My wife is fine with it. Matter of fact I wear some of her D cups now. She has grown some and the ones she gave me no longer fit her. I have never had anyone say anything about it one way or the other.

Thank you so much for the good insight and pic its nice to see people who have developed significantly dealing with it as its absolutely no bother at all. I wish i ssw more people in their 20s or 30s so well developed with a "darn it" mentality and confidence and such cause well it seems everyone on here for the majority def has no real threatening to confidence gyne just developed pecs looking. My chest worries me cause of gf. I cant lie i enjoy softer things in life i wear womens underwear since i was a teen nothing sexual about it just the softness and comfort and no bunching up sells me on them and i shave my legs for muscle showing off purpose and am afraid shes gonna think im doing it on purpose which i DEF am NOT cause id like kids i love to swim and such and the fact of sex being on top and the thought of my breasts swinging in her face im sure would dry her right up.and seek a more physically attractive male.
We've had the talks and shes not going anywhere and assures me its just me insecurity and says my chest isnt that bad but what if it gets bad like a C cup and even in sports bras are obvious? Idk maybe im being silly.
Do you have any budget friendly bras you recommend that don't show through shirts and give comfort support and dont smoosh them? I wear a sports bra sometimes when i run but extended times it hurts them. But dont want to put on a wired bra with clips showing in the back. Sorry if im noveling this just nice to find acceptance and encouragement

You have acceptance from me but GF is what is bothering you. I may be out of line but my thinking is she really loves you DD cup breasts won't bother her. I am a lot older but if it had happened at 25 it would not have changed my mine. My wife knows I am a MAN. I have lost most of my body hair in the last 10 years. I don't shave nothing but my face but you saw the picture.... My wife don't mind them hanging in her face either  ;D         Physical appearance don't make a man. Your insides and heart makes a man. Several of us 50+ guys will chime in to support you.

 Lighten up and enjoy life

Your breasts do look big and honestly given the sexual sensitivity developed from them i wouldn't mind them being  bigger unfortunately i know id change my mind when they rounded and protruded lol. I think it really helps knowing my gf says i am her sexy man no matter what snd uses the if i lost a leg would you leave me no then why would i if you grew breasts long as it wasnt intentional. I gave her the forum months ago and she did her own search and saw severities to none at all gyne and sees its an issue many deal with and i also think it helps when a man with no.intent to offend anyone has feminine breasts not saggy man boobs. Lets be honest man boons gross and while im.sure many women arent turned on by breasts on men i assume.if they at least looked nice that would help the situation lol. Maybe im naive.
Your wife has never minded.your such large breasts in her face? Or sich large breasts being so noticeable and in a bra in public? Just very inspiring and encouraging. I doubt my gf would leave shes amazing and i love her and.i knkw her love is.unconditional and we've talked about it a lot just you know...saying youre ok with something the..finally facing it is totally different. Shes nothing like the rest guess im.just hurt so much by women before her im afraid i wont be man enough for her.

My breasts don't seem to bother my wife at all. She does help me dress so they don't show as much. The bra helps about my nipples showing. Without a bra they show through all my shirts.  Shirts with print are the best and a little on the big side too. I don't wear tee shirts away from home as they show too much. Just quit fretting and enjoy life. People that judge you by what is growing on your chest are not friends anyway.

Impressive! For the size you are in that shirt its barely even moticeable at all and only way it was to me was cause i was looking for it. Im 28 in great shape 5 11 176lbs so my shirts are already tight around my bust area. But i cant see myself giving up my t shirts and such especially in warmer days. Here in st louis it gets quite warm. But do love my golf polos and such perhaps those will help. But guess its just odd to feel breasts growing and getting larger and clothes getting tighter in areas. Wish I was like Prince and be some famous sex icon who could wear whatever the hell i pleased and ppl would call me a legend instead of freak lol cause i feel i realize why womens tops are so much differently.designed than.males now.
I bought some hanes bras.today on amazon. They are seamless.wireless and look like wifebeaters with the straps hopefully they work well and can conceal them well incase they grow...taling precautions i.guess.

Do you take protein shakes?

If yes, how often and when?
