Gyno Disapearing

Has this ever actually happened to anyone? Doctors probably told every single one of you on this site that your gynecomastia would magically "disapear" after puberty, but has that actually happened to any one of you?

I think the issue would be that the people who it did happen to wouldn't be posting on this site.

Yeah but has anyone even heard of this happening to anyone, whether it be friends, family, etc? I've never heard of it ever happening. 100% of the time someone gets gyno, it stays, from what I hear.

Yea, I have. I’ve seen it from kids at school and stuff. My dad had it in the pics I see of him as a kid. It lasted for about a year.

I think the consensus among doctors who do this for a living is that it does. If it stayed 100% of the time, I think they'd be the first to tell you! haha

yeah i agree, if there wasnt a chance of it goign away, then doctors wouldnt say such a thing!

 Well I have had this condition 3 different times in my life. The first time was when I was 12 years old. It resolved itself in about a year and a half. The tissue I had from pubertal gyne when I was younger felt much different from what I had as an adult though. It felt like I had a hard lump the size of a marble under each nipple and it friggin hurt! The tissue I had the second time and currently felt much more fibrous and not all that painful.

i think the cases that resolve don't progress to really bad first.

as far as i understand, gyne can disappear after puberty in most cases. the majority of us here on this forum are the unfortunate ones who's conditions did not get better.

i am assuming that you are born in 1992, which makes you 17? u r still young and so you still have a shot of making your condition better by not putting on weight and having an active lifestyle. high muscle, low fat and a healthy lifestlye (no weed, no alcohol etc) increases your chances of getting rid of your gynecomastia.

What disturbed me the most is that none of the docs that I saw over a 31 year period ever mentioned my G. I mean c'mon... I had 'D' cup m(o)(o)bs for christ sakes, and not one doc had the decency to tell me what the condition was and what could be done about it. I didn't even get the obligatory "Don't worry son, they'll disappear in a few months..." spiel.

My doctors never even really confronted the issue. They gave poor physicals and never saw me with my clothes off. They checked my heart beat and all that without even taking my shirt off and felt the "moobs," but they just said I needed to lose weight.

Ehh its rather complicated for me. I'm 18 and my doctor did say there was a chance of it going away. Although I do pertain to certain habits I do have a fairly active lifestyle and I eat healthy regularly. I did notice my gyne shrinking when I lost a massive amount of weight(40 pounds) and they toned slightly after I started working out. Now my only concern is that it goes away. I also have my nipples pierced. It doesn't do much but it does make my nipples slightly less puffy. My hope is that it will go away soon.

Close, I'm almost 17, I'll be 17 in October. I also no longer have the condition, it's almost 3 weeks post-op for me. I was just ranting about the whole situation for everyones sake, y'know. I wasn't sure if it could actually disappear or not.

Jesus.. that's odd. Maybe the doc's didn't know of the condition. Is that why you waited 31 years to get surgery done, because you didn't know the condition and what could be done about it?
