First of all, finding this forum is a good start, welcome!
You may want to start with you own doctor or an endocrinologist to get your hormones checked to make sure you don't have any bad imbalance.
Once you get to the answers of why you have gynecomastia, and decide what to do then if surgery is the way to go you want to find a surgeon with a good history and experience with gynecomastia surgery. We see far to many people here complaining about their outcome after their surgery. So cost should be the least concern and experience the highest priority when picking your surgeon.
To be totally honest with you though in my oppion many of the posters that are complaining and post their after surgery pictures look great. Their complaint may be that their not asymmetrical or along that line and in my eyes or beliefs there is no such thing as profection, nor should one expect it, and their after surgery pictures look great!
There will be more chiming in with better advice as far as what help that will serve you better at the stage you are in. I'm a person at almost 56 had this all my life and have learn to accept, but I support surgery as well.
I wish you well and good luck getting the answers you need and making your decisions!
