Here are my hormones tests results, so, please translate it from whatever-that-is to english. Thanks :)

Note: this results were translated from spanish, so if you see something weird, must be that I used the wrong word... lol.


Test: FSH
Result: 2.17 UI/ML

Test: LH
Result: 2.0 UI/ML
Normal Range: 1 - 7.0 UI/ML
Folicular Phase: 1.3 - 5.3 UI/ML
Half-Cycle Phase: 6.0 - 65.0 UI/ML
Luctea Phase: 0.2 - 7.1 UI/ML
Pre-Menopause: > 10 UI/ML
Oral Contraceptine: Up to 6 UI/ML

Test: TESTOSTERONE
Result: 5.17 NG/DL
Normal Range: 3.0 - 10.6 NG/DL

These tests are inconclusive.

Your testosterone result is not in the ng/dl range, I think this is an error and I think it might be in the ng/ml reference range.

Anyway the key point here does not relate to your reference range here or your result it is this;

Total testosterone alone does NOT give an accurate picture of male androgen status.

Testosterone can be bound in the blood via SHBG or blocked at the receptor sites via estradiol and total testosterone can be fine when crucially the free testosterone in the body is low, also estrogens can independently cause their own problems.

You need the following tested;

LH
total testosterone
Free testosterone (if possible)
SHBG (absolutely required if free testosterone is missing and important in its own right).
Estradiol
Prolactin

Probably also worth having

TSH
Free T3


If you have ever taken propecia, then also

dihydrotestosterone (DHT)

LH

TSH

I've never taken Propecia.
