We live in a world that in the last 100 yrs has become soaked in pseudo- estrogenic compounds in food water clothing etc. Most plastics need some kind of plasticizing chemical to keep them pliable long term and much of that chemistry can cause gynecomastia in sensitive individuals. Do not blame yourself for things way beyond your control. Bad enough we have to live with these side effects from industrial chemistry and how the social / emotional fallout from that which affects our lives.

Welcome Iron, theres a wealth of information and frienship to be found and had here. I believe just about everyone who is active here can attest to the tremendous benefit this forum has had for their self view, acceptance, adjustment to whatever it may be in their path of dealing with things and so forth. Your post could have been written by me. We had the same experience. I had the surgery at age 57. It's been over 5 years and I feel that it's the best decision I ever made in terms of my own personal happiness.
