The surgeon who I spoke too said he did not use drains but provided a compression vest after the surgery. Ive seen it where some had gotten them and some others hadnt.

What are your opinions

  • Had expensive surgery... Now I'm flat busted!
It seems to depend on the scope of the surgery. 

My first surgery was huge and dealt with tissue removal over a large area including under my arms.  Drains were used.

My revision later this week is to fine tune a couple of areas and I was told there would be no drains this time.

The PS prolly uses his/her good judgement whether or not you need them.

I had drains.  Probably depends on severity of gyne and the doctors preferred practice.
