massaging causing swelling

hey yall,
I feel when I massage it just makes me more swollen, or that it is delaying my healing process. Does anyone feel this way or is it just me?? im 5 weeks postop

Well I have a lot of hard healing tissue underneath my skin and when I massage with my cocoa butter I notice that it does loosen up and almost seem to be swollen.  I guess that's just because the hard tissue is no longer stuck in it's solidified shape and can now move more freely.
