Well I went to the plastic surgeon and told me the basics , nothing that I didnt already know and he seemed like he knew what he was doing.

So theyre sending in my files to the insurance company (blue cross blue shield of Georgia)to see if they will cover for the procedure. They told me to basically not get my hopes up and that it will probly take weeks to get an answer.

I just want to know how long it took for anyone else who submited there claim to the insurance company to get an answer and what I can do while Im waiting.

for me, I think it helped that I went to an endocrinologist and had a mammogram and had bloodwork done to check hormone levels and such. both docs (ps and family) sent aletter to the insurance detailing the findings of my physical exam. They told me not to get my hopes up but the insurance (bc/bs alabama) paid for it all.
