Please advice, Gynecomastia or fat ?

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post for this site. I never knew about such a forum where I can actually ask for advice on the most embarrassing side of my life.

I got a tough life to live with this truth. I dont even feel like going to a doctor to get it examined as its so embarrassing.

Firstly I was wondering if I actually have gynecomastia or its just fat. (please see my pictures attached)

I understand, completely about being embarrassed about taking your shirt of to anyone even a doctor - but if you are going to see a specialist (endocrinologist, plastic surgeon)... you ain't the first, the 20th, or  even 50th case the doctor has seen. It is what they do  - help guys like us. So go!

As the term is now used, Gynecomastia would include any enlargement of the male breast. Yours are enlarged so yes, you have it.

The breast is composed of both fatty and glandular tissue. It would actually be quite rare for the breast to be exclusively fat or gland without the other. Obviously the percentage of each kind of tissue is highly variable.
