I hear what you're saying, but the risk of scarring is a reality with surgery. Some people seem to scar worse than others. I don't believe that the gland can be effectively excised through the armpit, so that's why most gyne surgeries are done through incisions that follow the curved line of the areola. That line helps hide the scar and gives direct access to remove the gland. That's what my PS told me anyway, and it seems to be supported on these boards.
