I consume soy milk and soy protein daily. Will this increase the estrogen levels in my body?

  • It's time to spread the word about Gynecomastia
Are you referring to the topic that was discussed on the "Doctors" show?

I highly doubt it will raise estrogen levels by an amount significant enough to cause gynecomastia. However, I am not a doctor or surgeon. This question is directed more towards them.

It is known that soy and soy protein contain phyto (plant) estrogens.  However, they are in minute amounts and you would have to consume huge amounts of soy for it to have an effect on your chest.

However, if you want to be absolutely, perfectly safe, then I would limit (but not eliminate) your soy consumption.
