Liver and kidney function tests

CBC and biochemistry including iron panel.

That should do it.

I had a physical a few weeks age and the doctor took blood & urine samples and said everthing is perfect.
Liver, thyroid & kidney. Blood pressure & chlosteral was perfect also.

Are the tests that my primary doctor just took different from the ones an endo whould do ?

People with gynecomastia should ALWAYS see an endocrinologist.

Only a competant endocrinologist will be able to properly consider the potential cause of the gynecomastia as they are experts in the causes of gynecomastia- unlike suregons who are only experts in the removal of gynecomastia.

The tests you mentioned mizuno are not enough, you require the investigations I mentioned.

10% of all men with gynecomastia have low testosterone and over 25% of gynecomastia cases are due to an underlying cause according to the best and most reliable sources.

It does not make sense getting surgery without ensuring that their is no underlying cause, as untreated such causes can cause re-development of the gynecomastia post surgery.

I disagree.  Not all Endos are the same.

Different Endos have different specialisations.  A specialisation in reproductive endocrinology is the one to go for.  It was my experience that the majority seem to specialise in diabetes and of the 3 I saw, only 1 knew more than the basics in gynecomastia and how to treat it.

As always Hypo is on the ball and listed Endos with that particular specialisation above.

That's odd... I thought only your hormone levels needed to be checked. This is saddening
