Recovery after gland excision

High all, was hoping someone may be able to give me a rough estimate regarding recovery time after gland excision.

I've had lipo in the past (which did nothing!) and that had me off work for just over a week.

The reason i'm concerned about this is because i'm a primary school teacher and dont want to let my school down if i'm off too long.

Hopefully my surgery will fall in the holidays but if not do you think a week off will be sufficient? Bearing in mind when I get back I get the kids to do the heavy lifting  

P.S it's just the one side of my chest if that makes a difference.
