Scars

Anyone have an opinion on what to put on scars to help them fade?
I've heard Vit E oil is good, but I've also heard that it's just a myth.   There seems to be so many scar creams available it's hard to know what really works the best.   Any thoughts?

My wife used this stuff called ScarGuard on her incision after PS and it worked great.

I used Palmers Cocoa Butter w/vitamin E on my stretch marks that were caused by weight gain. Didn't seem to make any difference tho. :-/

Also, keep healing scars away from sunlight. Apearently, direct sunlight can damage the healing scar tissue.

My PS told me to keep the 'healing' wounds away from direct sunlight. I take it from that, that once the wounds have healed, it would be okay to expose the area to sunlight. Within moderation of course. Don't pull off a Kramer and cook yourself.  

You may want to consider a fairly strong sunblock.
