Hi im new. my main question is before any of you new for sure that you had gyn, did you have to see a specialist for him to confirm it?? I had what i think is this for a few years. after my doctor took liver and hormone tests he has now asked me to see a specialist. Its not a severe case. its swelling and small tissue behind it. sensetive sometimes.

As you are learning, Gynecomastia is not a physical problem in itself. The effects are almost entirely in the area of self image and emotions. That said, Gynecomastia can sometimes be a symptom of Liver and/or Hormonal problems. This is the reason for your referral to a specialist and the reason why you should not neglect to have everything thoroughly checked out.

Good Luck!
