Is sunscreen enough for scars?

I know your supposed to keep the scars out of the sun, but does anybody know if a high spf sunscreen would be ok?

I would also like to know, although mine are in my armpit so I'm not very concerned.

I think it should be, use like a 50 or more,I'm 4 months post op and have been using 50 waterproof type sunscreen...

I just spent 3 straight days in intense South Florida sun with SPF 50 on the scars under the areola and 15 or 30 everywhere else.  I took a good hard look at the scars daily (they're practically invisible already) and they're still pale and flat.  It's a good idea to use sunscreen anyway, scars or not.  Melanoma is one of the most dangerous cancers out there and is easily preventable.
