I've become alot more swolen since I removed my pressued vest after one week.  Does anyone know how you can distinguish between natural swelling and fluid.

If it's fluid, will it go away on its own?

???

I don't think it matters too much which it is as either should go away on its own in time.

That is unless the fluid is a result of a post op infection which can happen.

That happened to me and when the fluid built up I felt like there was pressure in the chest and the skin became very pink (a sign of infection along with infected wounds which is easily seen).

But hey if you are really worried call your general doctor out or go and see him as he will be able to reassure you or treat any infection with antibiotics if needs be.

Certainly a general doctor is capable of assessing something like that.

If you’re not worried, then just give it time.

I’m in the same boat being a month post op and I know it is easier saying to not worry- but hey?
