I notice that with the series' MARCO POLO and GAME OF THRONES, both with groups of horse barbarians, I noticed that lots of the horse barbarians had in many cases sizable male breasts.  All they are missing now are special lines of designed for men bras and bra ads with male models.  Gyne is all over the screens these days, under 3 layers of shirts to form fitting t-shirts on fat guys with breasts and quite a few bare chested.  And they are getting more screen time rather than just a quick flash.

I think that is part of the people not noticing male breasts as much as they used to.  Where is the surprise when you see it on TV every day and don't even notice it any more?

With gay, lesbian, bi, trans and intersex folks all coming out of the closet, people don't know what to think of a person instantly on seeing breasts any more and they are afraid of jumping to the wrong conclusion.  It is safer not to notice.  Mostly they will find out that what looks like men with breasts are actually just that, all home grown breasts on boys and men.

And the guy from TOP GEAR with gyne who used to wear 2-3 shirts, is now doing LOST IN TRANSMISSION in a single t-shirt for his gyne to be seen by all.  Good for him, losing his fear.

Amen! Nothing to fear but fear itself!

I guess you haven't seen the sequel, "Game of Thrones -- 2015."  In it, every guy with gyne is wearing either a bra or a tight UnderArmour shirt!!!

Are we talking about a bunch of overweight guys or normal size guys? I have not seen either series as we gave up TV over 10 years ago and only watch what we hear is good.

Hi Dr Jacobs,

I have not seen that season's show yet.  So they are imposing 21st century prejudice in a horse barbarian environment?  I wonder who's prejudices they are caving to?  Just when it looks like tv representation might be becoming more normal in portraying men's bodies with high budget shows.  So now this season suddenly cover it all up, in men?.  That is strange.

Hi Bummed,

Are we talking about a bunch of overweight guys or normal size guys?

Both.  As a review I would say that GAME OF THRONES is generally well done.  MARCO POLO  doesn't have the same depth.  It isn't bad but GOT is heavy with detail and scheming which gives a richness to the story.

Ex President Clinton was on TV from Africa in an interview yesterday in a light weight shirt and his gyne was sticking out.  He is positive skinny these days.

Like many people he has been up and down on weight, but not nearly as much as me for instance.  However, his breasts stick out a little because they are little.  Mine stick out far more past my stomach now.

So if you gained 50 pounds and your stomach stuck out farther than your breasts, then your breasts wouldn't matter to you any more?

I'm trying my hardest here to help you understand why it isn't desirable to build up such a fear structure in your self.  I've fought with it for decades getting the clutches of fear off my life.

It's like I've been fighting against this fear, this pointless, meaningless fear, nearly my whole life.  It's taken me 55 years to deal fully with this.  I have my freedom back.  I don't think "What will they think?" any more. I buy clothing that fits and I don't try to hide any more.  The most common remark so far "Do you work out a lot"?.  There is no time in my life since age 12 when I would have worn the t-shirts I have worn out and around the past week.  They would have been shear panic.

You will enjoy your life more if you just ignore the breasts and count them as meaningless.  The ONLY thing you can change is yourself.  Choose carefully.

You had me going on that one Dr Jacobs. I hope they do normalize body types of all sorts on TV.  Our entertainment doesn't have to make us all feel bad about our bodies.  The BBC actors and actresses look more like real people

They would take a back seat to my weight issue, so while they would still matter, they would matter less. I posted elsewhere about priorities and importance.

As you say, priority and importance, weight issues are so much worse for you health then the bumps on your chest, after all, the chest bumps won't kill you, but there are plenty of things tied to unhealthy weight that will!

Exactly my point. If I have nothing health related to be concerned with, my gynecomastia is THE most important thing regarding my body. In my other post I said how I get where you and others are coming from.

Ok, but as I said in the other post, I was in the top of health too at one time. Trained to jump out off helicopters with full SCUBA gear on without getting hit in the back of my head from my tank valve or lose my mask, have loads of other gear too. I Could clim the side of cliffs with this gear. I had some nick names I won't repeat here but they all have to do with the power I had in my body! But I had boobs too! I could fill a B or C cup! I didn't let that stop me from being the best that I could be! Those bumps didn't change who I was!

When I got out of the service and had a business that was starting to grow I had boobs, it didn't stop me  from fulfilling my dreams! Those bumps are just extra fat, breast tissue and skin!

What stopped me from having the life I was enjoying was 30 years of untreated diabetes, bad knees and a bad back! I still have the boobs, and they still don't bother me!

As I said, they are just extra fat, breast tissue and skin. Those are things that everyone is born with, some with a little more then others! Kinda like hair.

Hi Bummed,

In my other post I said how I get where you and others are coming from.

I must have missed that post. Instead of physical health be concerned with your emotional health. In any case, self change is right up my alley as an Alchemist.  My suggestion of visits or a vacation at a nudist resort or club was to help you establish a more realistic gut knowledge of what is normal and ordinary in averagely healthy human bodies.  If you already have that "uh-oh" sensation every time somebody comes towards you or you think of going out and maybe being seen or however you ring your alarm, socializing with dozens or hundreds of nude folks over and over will attenuate that uh-oh" feeling.

Changing one's understanding of a situation can change their perceptions and reactions.  So I came at it from all directions.  It wasn't a fear structure I  built up over time.  I opened up that fear at 11 years old when I first felt them growing.  I have no idea where it came from or why or how it started. In 7th grade I started having the harassment and gained reason for the fear and PTSD but wasn't the source of the original fear.  I unraveled the "logical" and experiential parts over the decades. I was sick and didn't go out much and didn't do anything much so things happened slowly.  This year when looking at some new t-shirts and polo shirts replacing all the worn out stuff the design of the shirts and the shirts material was generally different.  I've put on 50 pounds of muscle since I bought the last bunch 9 years ago (and also lost 45 pounds of water).  They fit differently.  I'm just not letting this thing affect my life any more.  I give it no credibility and it is fading by the day.

You don't have as much to deal with.  You don't have the intensely painful school experiences from jr high, high school and even some college.  Deal with it now and it won't matter if it grows a little. You will enjoy your life more and have virtually no cause of concern.  Do you care at all what an occasional stranger MIGHT be thinking?  My honest answer can only be no, I don't care at all and I will not run my life according to that stranger's thoughts might be any way. I bet you don't actually care either.  You won't worry that needed meds might increase size.  So the question comes up where does that clearly intense fear come from?  That's what I don't understand.  What was your very first thought first time you noticed.  Was the terror there from the beginning?

Before long it will be a much "safer" place than the mall because everybody is going to accept your your body, as a given.  It's learn by doing.  You will learn to accept their bodies and your own, young, old, middle aged, fat and thin and everything in between; big breasts, little breasts, no breasts at all and other parts missing too.  There are even some otherwise invisible people in wheelchairs at various times.

Don't go to a resort catering to fast living swinging jet set unless that is the type of environment you like.  I like the laid back relaxed social environment.

Absolutely not. I had puffy nipples and was like "oh well". My wife noticed them, but that was about it.

I started to worry when it went beyond that and the breasts started to form. Now that they are prominent and still growing, they have become an issue.

Puffy nipples and mild gyno are easily hidden, and even with a shirt off, most people would never notice. I have seen plenty of "before" pictures of guys who got surgery for something 99% of people would never notice - something I was fine with.

There are a whole lot of different body shapes and sizes that fall into the vast range of "normal", but that range does not include MTF type breasts.

Just sayin'

Hi Bummer,

There are a whole lot of different body shapes and sizes that fall into the vast range of "normal", but that range does not include MTF type breasts.

As far as I can tell this a major misunderstanding.  Breast shapes are all over the the place for men and women.  I have never seen 2 identical natural, or unnatural breasts.  On male to female trans all the breasts I've seen (in the flesh even) appear well within normal ranges.  There is no specific type or shape.   There are no "MTF type breasts.  That is a phrase of special meaning to you and meaningless to everybody else.  It's the way you distinguish yourself and say "everybody else is normal but I am abnormal and hence have to suffer for it" or some such story.

So let go of all that body shame and fear and go see for yourself at a nudist club.  If you want to get it over with in one vacation include a music festival or some event with 1000 or more people there.  Every body there will be unique.  There will be no two alike.  And I very much doubt that you will be able to pick out the trans-females by "MFT" breasts. The idea of "MTF" breasts sounds like a joke.

You build your own cage of fear and justifications, as I and everybody else has.  You can get rid of them too which is what I encourage to do.  Good luck and have fun.
