vest question

Hi. I am having surgery very soon. I got fitted for my vests, but I'm wondering if you wear them literally all of the time for the 4-5 weeks, or whether you take them off occasionally, such as to shower? In fact, are you even allowed to shower, or can you only wash yourself during this time?

Does the vest go over your skin directly, or over a tight t-shirt?

I have been going over this time and time agian, some say wear it 4 weeks and others 3 and so on......I was told to take it off 1 week and shower........The vest goes
on your skin at frist after OP, then you wear it like that as long as your PS says.........I have used it over a T-shirt now but dont need to wear it as my PS says ,,,,,but it gives me comfort and takes the pain away from going up the stairs or light jogging.......... Maybey this will help you.......
